Hi! I found this article on this Italian Website ( http://www.neveitalia.it/sport/figu...ionalita-e-ritiri-ancora-allordine-del-giorno )
There are some figure skating news from the summer, that many know, and there is also written that Kiira Korpi plans to put a Triple Flip-Triple Toeloop and a Double Axel-Triple Toeloop in the Free Program! That sounds exciting, but first, she needs to obtain the Minimum technical score for the big Championships.

And at the bottom of the page there is also reported that Polina Shelepen (first RUS, then ISR) will no longer compete due to too many injuries that affected her in the past years, she said that she will come back to Russia in order to begin a coach life.

It would be incredibly difficult, but if they took the cue from that film Pina it may be very dramatic and intense. (I have that film and it's one of my favorite sections.)

I have seem the choreography before, is very interpretative/ballet (don´t really know how to put it), is nicely done but don´t know if it will be well received by general audience, and I also wouldn´t know how to trasnlate it to the ice . Even so is nice choreography to watch.

I leave the opening number https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOTjyCM3Ou4

It's called Tanztheater (dance theatre) : http://prelectur.stanford.edu/lecturers/bausch/tanzdef.html
So you're correct in being interpretative dance.
That choreo can't be tranlsated to the ice, IMO.
Maybe for Ice Dance could be easier because you could use the concept and you have a partner. So it could be easier to transmit the idea behind the dance.
For a single skater is one of the hardest thing I could imagine, and no offence to Gold which I like, but I really can't see her skate that.
Tbh, I can't see any lady skate to that choreo. Maybe Radionova, when she becomes 20, this part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXVuVQuMvgA

Personally I think Rite of Spring is mostly impossible for normal single skater. I have yet to see anyone could bring it to the ice. Firebird is already a disaster for me. :bang: Petrushka has characters that can be used on ice, but the music is not easy.
I am just thinking, why they don't try Monteverdi? He had some nice music to dance along.

.

It's almost impossible for great skaters too. ;)
However, in this case I was referring more to Pina Bausch choreo rather than the music, which I agree with you it's very difficult.
However, I could see Tessa and Scott skating to that music.

Never seen a decent Baroque program either. :disapp:

Oh Yes. It is very Vivaldi. In his total et Filio et Spiritui Sancto mood.
Simply beautiful. He has written so many pieces, and still today they're rediscovering his works.
Vivaldi wrote so many wonderful pieces yet people only give him the credit for 4 seasons. :scowl:

Anyways, hope once day, there will be a Russian girl skates to this song: http://youtu.be/WgItDrcgWCU
I love Shostakhovic!
Yulia can do this, I believe, but some people will say she can only play gloomy. :sarcasm:
