I'm keeping my choices until the night of because I've just been changing my mind so much, switching around skaters by only 1 spot, back and forth.

Watch me forget to play altogether :p

No worries...there will be plenty of reminders. Actually....we're less than TWO DAYS away until the submission deadline (6 p.m. Friday, Chicago time)!

satine94, you're welcome to submit a placeholder now and edit to your heart's content. I know that's what I'm doing.

Hey sbstien

Just wanted to let you know that the Reeds are not entered for Skate America (entry list, as of 17th October). They are currently only entered for the NHK trophy (entry list table for whole of GP Series, as of 17th October).

It probably won't matter as you only have them as a sub. But just in case more than 1 of your Top 5 choices do withdraw at the last minute, it might be worth putting somebody else in instead.

Hope you enjoy the Game

We have 24 hours to go until the dance competition starts!! Which means you have 23 hours to get your predictions in for Ice Dance. Remember, you can still submit or edit your predictions until one hour before the start of the short program of a discipline. We are looking for your top 5 picks plus at least one subsitute!! Good luck everyone :)

Just wanted to point out that you've accidentally left Brooklee's name beside Liza's in 2nd place when you were re-ordering the entry list for your predictions.

We had a situation last year where one player had put the same name in for 1st and 3rd in one of the Men's competitions. Now, we all realised who they meant the other name to be, but not which way around. And the player didn't get it edited in time for the deadline. So, they didn't get the points for either skater.

So, you might want to fix your list before the deadline to avoid any ambiguity.

Hope you enjoy the Game

I think that one hour before the first short program is the deadline for all disciplines. I may be wrong but that's how I understand the OP.

This does need clarification.

Sorry, but it's all my fault that there is confusion.: :slink:

The rule for the GP Game was always that predictions for ALL disciplines had to be in 1 hour before the first Short Programme started.

But when I was organising the Nationals Predictions Game last season, I changed the rule to be that predictions for each discipline could be submitted up until 1 hour before that discipline's Short Programme. This was largely because the national federations were not giving us updates as promptly as the ISU does.

Since I was also organising the ISU Championships Game, and with the same scorers, I carried over these rules from the Nationals Game for continuity.

However, these Predictions Games did not have as many players as the GP Game (there were 31 players for the Nationals Game, and 50 for the ISU Championships Game). So, it was much easier to keep track of predictions.

Already this season, the GP Game has nearly 100 players! So, it would be easier for the scorers to keep track if there was one deadline for all predictions.

From my reading of Mrs. P's original post, we are running under the traditional rules of ONE deadline for ALL predictions.

So, unless we hear otherwise, it is advisable to get your predictions in as soon as possible!

Sorry!! I wasn't thinking about the other scorers when I posted that. I have absolutely no issue with accepting pairs predictions until an hour before the pairs events, but if it's easier for everyone else to have one collective deadline it's fine. It's obviously only me who doesn't have enough of a life to spend all my time checking on GS.
