I've been intrigued watching how boots and blades seem to change over time. Sometimes I don't notice them as much when the tights go over the boots, however, recently I've noticed more skaters wearing the brand of boot that has the design on the outside of it and more skaters using the blades with an extra connection to the heel. I'm not familiar with these brands (I stopped skating competitively 15 years ago). What type of boots and/or blades do you think are most common? Any likes/dislikes?
