14th Tirnavia Ice Cup

The 14th Tirnavia Ice Cup will be held Oct 27-30, 2022, in Trnava, Slovakia, at the town ice rink. The event will feature the singles discipline (Women and Men) in the Novice, Junior, and Senior levels.

The competition will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the 2022 Special Regulations and Technical Rules for Single, Pairs Skating, and Ice Dance, as well as all relevant ISU Communications.

Oh, there is a bounce of girls in Advance Novice, 51 :O. There are 5 Norwegian girls in Advanced Novice that have never competed internationally before, so really nice to give so many the change. Nice to see Daniil in Advanced Novice Men, this will be his second international competition and first one outside Nordics, that will be good experience. Surprised to see only Oda Havgar in junior, and no one in senior. Thought they would fill in more skaters when they are going, but most likely they have others things planned for others skaters.

Interesting, Dasa Grm is on entries for both this competition and Crystal Skate, I havn´t checked the time schedule but for sure that must be conflicting? I guess she might WD from one of the competitions, but what will it be?

On the other hand, if it´s not conflicting, it would not be the first time Dasa did very close back to back competition

She for sure did that a season or two again, I remember the poor girl going to almost every competition that was possible when they made the sudden mid-season change. She actually has them this year, all though the FS minimum was raised again. She made sure of that at Skate Helena last season, where she got 55 in TES. If they even would raise them 2 points next year she would still have them.

So, I have no clue why she is signed up for both

If you thought that the Ladies competitions at the last few Junior GP's were long, well we have something similar here in our final segment of the day. 45 girls are due to skate in the Advanced Novice SP (There were supposed to be 47, but 2 have been marked as withdrawals).

You would have thought a lot of them would have been better going to the Crystal Skate Of Romania this week instead. There are only 4 girls competing at Advanced Novice level there, the SP of which started a couple of minutes ago.

I don't know what's going on. The stream went offline after skater #9 Jozef CURMA (SVK), who was supposed to be the penultimate skater in the Junior Men's SP.

The stream had just reached the 12 hour mark, so I take it Vimeo has a 12 hour length limit too.

There is another stream sitting waiting to spring into life, and I would like to think that it is for today's final two SP segments rather than for tomorrow's FS segments. There is a resurfacing scheduled between the Junior Men's SP and the Senior Men's SP, so it would make sense to separate the streams there.

EDIT: The other stream was on air by the time I finished typing this post. But, you have to log in to watch it.​

As it stands, we don't know if Junior skater #10 Tim ENGLAND (DEU) has withdrawn, or whether he was a casualty of the stream being on air for 12 hours.
