Sort of a flat competition. Why were the component marks for Co/Bu so low? Marks here in general pretty low though....

Hmm, Hawayek and Baker are in good position for a possible medal with their gorgeous Romeo and Juliet free dance.

I was thinking the same thing, then trying to unthink it because I don't want to be nervous for them tomorrow! But yeah, it doesn't seem out of the question at all if they skate as well as they did at Cup of Russia.

And yeah C&B seem to be out ahead with a 68.86. Different competition of course, but still interesting.

C&B (USA) got also some "generous" levels. ;)
Anyway, as I already explained I&Z got the levels and levels is not always about understanding them.
S&K didn't worked with russian officials before CoR and they didn't got the levels What about that?
Many of us here do understand levels, but it's quite different knowing them and going out there and skate to it.

You raise some valid points. Getting levels and not understanding them. But with katsalapov revealing himself to be terrible at worst and wildly inconsistent at best and sinitsina being generally totally inferior to someone at best wildly inconsistent what's the future? Maybe clean will make everything 4!

Nice job, Kaitlin and Andrew. No way to really compare the top teams until the GPF. But Weaver and Poje are keeping pace. Decent job by Penny and Nicholas. I think Kaitlin and Jean-Luc have a future in the US. S and K had a rough skate. Definitely not a couple on the ice yet. Except for the last 2 couples, this really made me miss D/W and V/M!

S/k level 2 everywhere! Not even a lift was 4! This team needs an intervention. Why are they competing? Do they like competing? Do they think they have a winning future?

Give it a rest..we all knew this would be an issue. Their skating skills and on ice personas don't really suit the paso, they should do pretty fine with the waltz next season. They will need more TIME....

You're absolutely right. All teams need time to gel (even Nathalie and Fabian were cringeworthy when they first got together!) - they need that program that just makes the partnership click.
