This was a poorly skated event. I think only two skaters landed a clean 3A. Ilia watered-down his SP content, but I don’t think it’s injury (I hope). I think he just played it safe.

This is the first time he’s been in podium position after the SP. That bodes well for the free skate for him.

No not really. Skating skills better but those jumps were a mess and that effects performance. And where is the choreography? Same program Keegan has been skating for the last few years!! Charming but dull.

High energy and full speed, though it's been done over and over is better than a very bland program focused on getting the elements done. Skaters are evaluated on what they put on the ice at that precise moment... not on what they've done over and over and over... In that same train of thought, Kevin has also performed the same aerial, slide and butterfly since he was born... and he should still be rewarded for it. YMMV

Another bad showing for MorisI. Maybe he is missing his Russian coaching staff or has been injured and came back to early. Cannot believe Kevin is in the lead but love it.

Apparently.

With the 3A mistake, and the only really clean jump in the program was the 4S.

My gut initially told me the result was incorrect, but looking at the protocols, it makes sense. Although TBH, I thought Kevin's 3A and one of the spins were overscored on GOE... but that's just opinion.

Ok, now imagine I am Norwegian and I am very drunk (which is not true because I am Slovakian and decently drunk) and I am going to repeat "Kvitelashvili" 3 times quickly without a mistake.
Your task as sober Norwegian is to repeat surname of our technical specialist for women and men, Ms. Myriam LORIOL-OBERWILER, so only surname (upper case letters) 3 times quickly and without a mistake

I love the short, the 3A was a thing of beauty to my eyes, and I am so happy for him.

(I haven't read through all the comments, so I apologize if this minor point was mentioned, but he speaks French to Silvia? Oui, Kévin, c'état bon )

Seems like Morisi needs a firm hand and not this friendly unicorn pooping environment that Magri can offer.

I have no idea what this environment is of which you speak, but many skaters seem to thrive in it.

Seems like the Eteri bonus is no more. To my eyes, Morisi was never all that, and without the bonus to prop him up, his mistakes are more glaring. (And to be sure, this skate was not his best, bonus or no bonus).

He is an adult, and if he can't manage his own training, that's on him.
