Got some good pics of the three winners in the pits before the medals.....I dont think Kaori is happy with herself....revenge at Worlds! LOL!
Mai takes the GP, Kaori takes Nats, Mai takes FISU....next stop, Worlds.....so happy for Yelim and Korea skates here.

Even if Russia had been here, we likely would have had at least the same top 2. Trusova is nowhere near what she was last year, and whoever the others would have been (maybe Sinitsina and someone else) likely wouldn't have come close to Mai or Kaori either. (It's hard to think of Russian skaters who are 18+ who are still active and aren't Tuktamysheva.)

I’m so proud of Mai. She finally put out two perfect programs and has now joined the 220+ club. This performance was the best internationally from a lady this year. Queen Kaori had this in the bag, until that final fall. I do find her 3S and 3Lo jumps to come out of nowhere, to be the least sturdy. At least she knows, that if she lands the jumps, nobody can beat her. So, that is encouraging. I hope these two, top the standings at Worlds. Especially, Mai Mihara. Mai needs to be a world medalist, as part of her resume.

the organizers were on their at the gala. Karen Chen and Les Supremes was a great idea. but Dupayage and Nabais were unsurpassable. she's an awesome character

I loved watching Mai skate. Kudos to her. Kaori has the fire and speed and this program is getting better but at one point near the end before the fall on the last jump, she was looking around like she lost focus or something. There are very few like her in speed and power but Mai hung tough and skating consistent in both programs. I'm rooting for them both at Worlds. I think Kaori can regroup by then and Mai builds on her two big confidence building wins!

Fish has like one replay available....
I watched the gala on ESPN, which unfortunatly has no way to adjust quality for people with weak streams....but I really just wanted to see Karen...looked happy!

Finally more replays, but I think womens SP is still missing? I hope they sort it out, it´s a bit odd that the womens FS is there but not the SP. Same goes for the RD. But i´m guessing it just takes times, earlier only the FD was on replay.

I also watch FISU right now (no time to do it earlier) and during the next days.
Today it was Ice Dance.

Since I first saw their FD this season, I call the French winners "The Burberries" (easier to remember 😅 ) Congratz!
How to remember the music of the next team? Please no rain, Lorraine  (I think they are really expressive but it's a lot of arm waving in the second half)
The whole podium did really well and I was impressed by the Italians in the FD. Bit sad for the Ukrainians.

And - is it just me or did Nathan look like he was coming from an audition for Game of Thrones? 😄
