From an Advanced Novice double-bill, we move to a Ladies SP double-bill. 33 Juniors, followed by 16 Seniors. The Juniors are arranged into three groups of 5; followed by three groups of 6. I am assuming there will be reurfacings after Groups 2 and 4, but I don't know for sure.

So looks like Litvintsev didn't show up. Probably didn't get an EU visa.
He's training with an excellent team in Russia, but at this point I think he should move his training base somewhere outside of Russia. Missing all the smaller events really has negative impact on his world ranking and reputation scores.

ETA: Not to mention his second GP assignment in Finland and Euros.

Well, that's it decided then.

I didn't watch the F1 sprint race last night because my Dad was out and I decided to take the opportunity to finish catching up on the Denis Ten Memorial Gala, as well as some other things I had missed that were due to expire. And then I could watch the sprint race with him today before the feature race comes on this evening.

Sky is always far too slow in putting the F1 stuff onto their On Demand service (they never seem to get the Saturday action up before Monday or Tuesday at the earliest, which is no use when you need to see it before the feature race happens on Sunday), so I was dithering whether to watch this morning's repeat or this afternoon's repeat.

But finding out that some of the Volvo Open livestreams have been zapped has made the decision for me. I'll be watching the afternoon repeat, because I don't want to risk missing seeing my kid Oliviia, who will be skating when the morning repeat is on!

EDIT: Since writing this, I have found the revised Time Schedule for today, and Oliviia's competition should be over by the time the morning repeat of the F1 sprint race comes on. So, I could watch either showing without risk of missing her.​

Day 4 of the Volvo Open Cup is completely from the Interclub part of the event. And it has quite a few combined competitions. Including the first competition of the day, which consists of a group of 10 Cubs B girls; followed by a group containing 9 Cubs B girls and 2 Springs boys.

Oooh, I wonder if skater #9 is a relative of my kid Stefania Yakovleva. Let's face it, Estonia is not that far away from St. Petersburg. (Yes, I know it is a different spelling. But, that is probably down to differences in the way Cyrillic characters are transliterated into Latin characters in Estonia and Russia).

You know, the costume she is wearing, consisting of a plain black long-sleeved dress and solid black stockings, really works on a girl with blonde hair.

And I loved the first song she was skating to. Wasn't fussed on the second song, though.

Anyway, she went into 5th position, just 0.13 points behind the girl in 4th.
