Nice to see some real competition between D&L and C&S. Even last season I thought those teams were at about the same level and that judges were just punishing C&S for the 2002 scandal.

Hmm, I had heard good things about D&Ls OD. Did they makemistakes, or were they overmarked at SC?

Yeah, They had a problem with one of their dance lifts and because of that the lift was originally Lv4 but it was downgraded to Lv2 :frown:

Does anybody love the facial expressions of Tanith Belbin. I mean she really has fun out there on the ice. I mean her original dance right at the beginning of it. she seems to really have fun. She is such a darling

I totally agree Sailor!! I love Tanith :) I've met her twice and she is so sweet, and she really does have so much fun! She makes me wish I could be out there dancing! I especially loved their Elvis program that they used for exhibition a while back.

I think it's a catch 22 for ice dancers. Like stage performers, they have to grin so broadly that it can be seen in the last row of the balcony. But then you get your TV close-up and it looks like halloween.

I  Tanith, though. In person, she is just gorgeous and as sweet as she is pretty. Two years ago at the Winter cheesefest there was a promotion for the local public TV station, where if you pledged a certain amount you got free tickets to the event plus a "meet and greet" where you got to meet the skaters beforehand.

Everyone was hoping to get to meet Michelle or Sasha or Evgeny or Tim or Michael W., but when it came down, the competitors were not able to interupt their preparation to come out. So they tapped Tanith and Ben, I believe at the last minute. They were on the program doing an exhibition at half-time. So the crowd was a little mad and disappointed at first, because there was a long delay, then the announcement was made that we wouldn't get to meet our favorite singles skaters, which it seemed like we were promised.

But then Tanith and Ben were so-o-o-o-o-o charming and gracious, they signed every autograph (several hundred, I believe), posed for every picture -- they were just darlings. (If I had a web site I would put up my picture that I took with them, LOL.)
