There are really two competitions going on here. There are three top notch junior pairs competing, Iliushechkina and Maisuradze of Russia, Ozerova and Enbert of Russia, and Velenosi and Fernandez of Canada. The two Russian couples qualified for the JGPF. I really like I&M and would like to see them make the podium here.
And then, of course, the regularly scheduled competition is of course, between the Zhangs, winders of CoC, and Kawaguchi & Smirnov, winners of Skate Canada, and Volosozhar and Morozov who finished a strong second to the Zhangs at CoC. This year, the Zhangs have an absolutely gorgeous SP. Don't miss it. This is one year when I am rooting for them.
In any case, there should be some fine skating.
