When V&M came out of retirement it seemed to just take the wind out of their sails. If V&M reretire, perhaps they will be reenergized.
I feel like I could really see their confidence suffer immediately starting last season. They had always been so strong at the beginning of the season throughout the GP series, but then had trouble sustaining momentum and ending strong at Worlds, but when V&M came back, they didn't have their strong starts anymore.
Well, I personally don't see any of Virtue/Moir, Papadakis/Cizeron, Hubbell/Dinohue, Fournier-Beaudry/Sorensen or even Smart/Diaz as boring and generic. Surely, none of them are or will ever be Gilles/Poirier, the Duchesneys or someone like that with experimental and/or "voidy" programs (although G/P themselves ended up with quite a "generic" theme this season), but that does not automatically make them boring in my eyes.Oh God I hope not! I really dont want them to become another boring generic Montreal team, there's enough of those as it is
Anyway, as it seems from the olympics they have Galit Chait now as their second coach, so it looks like they are not going anywhere
