I was pleased to see that Maxim got his chance to skate @ Worlds, and was happy that he did quite well. Not on the podium, but pretty impressive, so take that, Yana!

He's been cleaner in the SP at CoR this past year. As for the FS, 1 missed quad being his only major error isn't bad. And obviously even with a perfectly landed quad there was no way he'd have been 3rd. Heck, even with a perfect SP & FS he wouldn't have been 3rd overall (though he might have led Hanyu after the SP).
