San Diego knowledge

Anyone know lots about San Diego? I am interested in the Little Italy area. Yes, I know what the chamber of commerce says...I am interesting in info from boots on the ground. You are welcome to PM me if you dont feel like putting negative things on the forum here....positive things are welcome too. I have been to San Diego twice in recent years and love it but not to Little Italy.
