I read the first 2 books of this series. At first I didn't like it. But now I find it very interesting. For Sci-fi I love the Dune series. Great and detailed world building there.
SF isn't really "my" genre, but I have read a few books that I liked. I don't know why, but suddenly the thought struck me of A E VanVogt's duology "Empire of the Atom" and "The Wizard of Linn". It's been many years since I read them (I have acquired them since, and they are on my Reading List, so I will get to re-reading them eventually), but I really enjoyed them at the time.
 interesting!! thank you I will find it on Amazon kindleI just finished Partials by Dan Wells. A real page-turner. Hoping to get my hands on the sequel ASAP!
It's a bleak but exciting "after the end" scenario. Good fast-paced, efficient writing--nice break from the long-winded high fantasy I usually read. interesting!! thank you I will find it on Amazon kindle
I just recognized this thread I'm a big fan of the Si-fi books and movies!Because we need a thread about sci-fi books.
I really like this genre. How about your favorite sci-fi books?
I like this book as well. I know the author is a jerk but this series is really thought-provoking.ooh I love sci-fi! Brace yourself, a list is coming!
Ender's Game is my favorite adult sci-fi book series but I can't actually recommend it to anyone because the author is a terrible person and I don't want him to get any money. If you're able to borrow it from a friend or the library check it out! But please don't buy it, seriously, the guy is a total jerk.

Have you read the series Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy?
Yes, the author is a jerk, but I quite liked his book Songmaster.
