Has Taka borrowed Evan's costume? (It's possible! I read it somewhere that either his coach or father is a good friend of Frank Carroll's, and Taka used to train at Carroll's rink for a short period of time.)

He's presenting one of his new competition programs in the show, right? Can't wait to see it :)

ETA: I just saw the short video clip from the other thread. Looked like a fun program, and I think he must have spent some efforts to improve himself performance-wise. trying to communicate with the audience more and etc. Mao seemed to be having fun too :)

Thanks! I love Mao's costume with the fan. Is she still skating to the Tango she used last year?

No, as it was reported by clovera (and could be heard in the clips) she's skating to an unique arrangement of "Caprice no.24" by Paganini. The arrangement is for piano, violin and other instruments. The fans reported that the music is very fast and has a lot of variations. Mao said that she would like to show both the cool parts and the comical parts in her performance. :)

According to fans' reports, she struggled a bit with jumps (in one performance she stepped out of 3T, in the other she doubled it, and had a wonky landing on 3F in one of the performances, 2A great though), but her spins were amazing and her footwork was even better than usual. She also had a new great spiral - a back fan spiral into back arabesque, during which sequence she pretended to fan herself with the fan she held (way to use 3 'fans' in the same sentence, lol). :)
(The jump mistakes could be caused by packed choreo and very fast tempo of the entire program.)

Mao also skated a pair program with Mai and another with Jeff Buttle.

Her program with Mai was skated to "Lady Marmelade" and was very cute. Mai seemed to have lost some weight and was in good shape. :agree:

Mao and Jeff skated to "A Whole New World" from "Alladin", portraying Alladin and Jasmine. The audience loved it!

Takahiko Kozuka debuted his new SP, "Bold as Love" by Jimmi Hendrix. Fans think he might have borrowed an old costume from Evan (very simple black pants and shirt). :)

Miki Ando skated to 'Bring in 'da Funk' this time. I love the program, but I wonder how long I will have to wait for 'Requeim', which is reportedly fabulous, but Miki skated it only in shows that weren't broadcasted... :(

Several photos of Mao, Mai, Miki, Tak, probably more will be added. (Can't guarantee though.)
Jeff is one of the chief stars here so let's expect more of his pics.

Televised Aug 2nd .... selected performances with lots of fluffs.
Also on Aug 15th .... longer version without flufs but can be watched only in and around Nagoya.

The pics of the ladies are quite lovely but.........having it on the same page as pics of sumo wrestlers kinda spoils it for me. Glad some follow-up posters had separate links to individual photos.

Mao's new EX:love:

Just amazing! Please use this program for SP instead of Masquerade, Mao-chan.

LOVELY!
I know this is going to be another incredible EX like the Tango.
It's definitely by far the best ladies EX that has been released this season. She's also improved her extension and technique so much these past few months that it's amazing!

Wow, she has really grown up.

She looked like she was having a lot of fun out there. Surprising to me because her competitive performances put me to sleep...

Mao's new EX is simply exquisite, especially since it's only an exhibition program.

I only hope that Mao's actual competitive programs have the spark and fire she displays in her EX.

It's a shame...you're missing some really great skating, then.

Thanks.

Jeff now has dark brown hair! Is that his original color?

It's so funny his both arms say "I love MAO" both in English and Japanese!!

Mao's costume is actually the one in which Yuna may look nice, too.

I think her hair is a wig as it's so long and I saw her having shorter hairstyle this spring.

I love this ex. I wish if Jeff had kissed Mao again though! That would have been fun!
