Vale and Ondrej had placed last at Skate America, but they had earned a PB at SP Good news is that their next event has less deep field and it should be very doable for them to place 4-5 if they skate well

Congrats to Vale and Ondrej who won gold at the Warsaw Cup this past weekend! They earned a total of 189.21 points and were nearly 50 points ahead of the silver medalists (USA's Liu and Johnson).

Vale and Ondrej are interviewed on the latest Ice Talk (Ep 32), after the Scott Hamilton interview about 24 minutes in.

I learned that Ondrej was in a bike accident 2 weeks before Worlds and injured his hand and foot, so they were not able to do their run through until right before the competition. And they still came in 9th with 2 great performances.

Thanks for the infor and I'm impressed. They had been very hot and cold since they formed the partnership, and struggled the season even more. However, they managed to pull off the two clean programs at the most important event of the season after the injuries. Their placement secured Team Italy's two spots for PyeongChang.

When it comes to style and aesthetics, IMO their La Strada LP from their 1st season together is the best program they've done so far, so I'm really glad they've picked Nino Rota again. Looking forward to seeing this program in competition. (Does somebody have any idea when they're gonna start competing this season?)
