For me it's the men that rule figure skating. I'm curious about their new performances, as always of course, but especially this season before the next olympic season. Seems like many are thinking carefully and experimenting a lot. I try to find videos on their new programs, but there are not many.
The North American and the European(non Russian) skaters appear very secretive. What's the point? Can't remember that it's been like this the last seasons. Are they playing mind games?
The Russian Federeation wants their skater's to be open about their new(at least some) performances. What's their calculations? Maybe they thinks it's fine if the judges see the programs before the real season starts. I wonder if it is a better or bad thing to show your programs before they are polished/finished enough? What do judges do in off season (except from educating themselves )? Probably watching skate videos, especially on their favorites and on new performances they find on youtube.
Abbott, Chan, Joubert, Nan Song, Reynolds, Rippon, Kozuka, Lysachek, Weir, Amodio, Fernandez, Schultheiss….. all of them hiding their masterpieces from us
Keegan Messing, Alexander Majorov, Peter Liebers, Paolo Bacchini, Tomas Verner and others who could be Euro/4CC/World participants are competing at the Nebelhorn Trophy, but no videos so far…
These are the videos I've found. Are there others?
