I would like to know how does a tech coach/tech specialist (for example Ravi Walia, Alexei Urmanov, Shin Amano & Tatiana Malinina) do to the skater? How long do they correct the said areas before the competition? (PS: I'm not a skater but I wanted to learn about it since it's quite different from the other coaches)

They are specialists in coaching techniques that improve GOE (technical) part of skaters score and abilities. There are many ways depending on each skaters situation and issues that need corrected. There is no way to write it all out here and explain in detail, I'd be writing a book.

I see, that's quite interesting. I was discussing with an acquaintance about this on how to improve a skater's tech content since one of country's skaters (small fed) retired a few months ago to be a coach and she aspire to be a tech specialist which it proven to be much useful.

In your example, you are conflating coaches who specialize in technical aspects of elements (Ravi Walia) with technical specialists (Shin Amano) who are part of the judging panel. ic3rabbit already explained the purpose of working with a coaching specialist.

A Technical Specialist is part of the three-team panel that determines what is executed in the program and what level it has achieved (spins/steps) or whether it was clean/q/under-rotated/downgraded (jumps).

It's been a loooooooooooong time since that happened. :)

An advantage of having a coach who is a TS is you get a real, true counting in positions/cleanliness of elements eyes with a coach who is a TS or has been a TS
Another unsaid advantage is often you are in communication with many of the judges - and in doing so find out what they like and don't like within programs - so you can tailor layouts to get maximum scores (especially for the "Composition" PCS category). You can also see what different things look like from the technical panel camera so develop an understanding for what will be good from a marking point of view in a program.
