OOh, it's impossible to choose just one.

Dance: it's a toss up of three A&P programs, Romeo&Juliet, Man in the Iron Mask, and Carmina Burana. Since R&J is what sparked my interest in ice dance, I'll put that one first.
Men's: Kurt's Singin' in the Rain is number one, then Casablanca, Brick House
Pairs: hmmm, either Liebestraum or Rachmaninoff (I think that's the composer) done by Mishkutuniok (sp?)& Dmitirev, When a man loves a woman by Underhill&Martini
Ladies: I'll go with Katarina Witt's 1994 LP (tribute to Sarajevo). It was so moving. Same with Michelle Kwan's Fields of Gold.

As far as enjoyable programs, I can think of a lot, from Browning, Yagudin, Wylie, Kulik and some others. But for "favorite program of all time", for me, it is Rudy Galindo's 1996 National's long program....the design, choreography and technique all take a HUGE backseat to the emotion and pure JOY he showed during that program. Gives me a huge smile any time I even think of it.

I guess I'm a "Don Quixote" lover because the 2 programs that stand out in my mind over the past few decades are John Curry's LP & Klimova & Ponomorenko's exhibition of the ballet dancers warming up, performing & leaving the "stage" knowing they had done well.

I'm the opposite. I haven't seen John Curry's LP, but all the Don Quixotes I've seen in recent years haven't been all that great or just haven't done it for me. I'm also not a big fan of Minkus's music (probably a combination of overuse and bad memories from ballet workshops :p )

My favourites so far have been:

Men:
Jeff Buttle-Naqoyqatsi (screw the quad critics---that choreography is so absolutely fantastic he doesn't need it   )
Kevin van der Perren-Robin Hood
Alexei Yagudin-Man in the Iron Mask (especially at SLC), Lawrence of Arabia
Evgeni Plushenko-Bolero SP (the only one who's come close to T&D)
Johnny Weir's last 2 FPs

Women:
MK: Spartacus, '98 Moderato, '01 EOE SP, Aranjuez
Joannie Rochette-Firebird
Tonia Kwiatkowski-Madame Butterfly SP
Sasha Cohen-R&J Exhibition
Slutskaya-Serenade SP (ok, so I just like the music :agree: )
Oksana Baiul-White Swan for 2004 SOI Tour
Kristi Yamaguchi-Malagueña
Midori Ito-'90 Scheherazade

Pairs:
Berezhnaya & Sikharulidze: Chaplin
Sale & Pelletier: Love Story, Tristan und Isolde
Anything & everything Shen & Zhao have done since '03 Worlds Turandot
Totmianina & Marinin: '05 SP & FP
G&G: entire repetoire

Ice Dance:
Anything and everything Torvill & Dean have ever done, thought about doing, will continue to do......(accept no substitutes, baby ;) )
Drobiazko & Vanagas: Spente la Stelle (FP from '01, I think...best Tosca I have yet seen)
Bourne & Kraatz: Riverdance, Cell Block Tango
Fusar-Poli & Margaglio: Braveheart/LOTD
Belbin & Agosto: Shadritsa (this year's FD)
Grushina & Goncharov: Air on a G String/Storm ('05 FD)
Delobel & Schoenfelder: Frida ('05 FD---find a copy of this one if you can)

I hate the music to Don Q, too. Unfortunately, my favorite program by my favorite skater is to the music, so I live with it. Curry's program is nothing like the recent ones. It was a masterpiece.

I have a few favorites, but my all time favorite would be Todd's First Knight from '96 Worlds.

Other faves would be:
Michelle's Salome and Lyra Angelica
Todd's Carmina Burana SP, Il Mare Calmo Della Sera & The Glory
Gordeeva & Grinkov's Moonlight Sonata
Sarah's LP from 2002 Olympics (the name of the music escapes me at the moment.. LOL)
Belbin & Agosto's current FD

There are others, but I'm having a brain freeze at the moment.. LOL

Pairs: shen&Zhao Turandot
Men: Kulik alladin, Joubert Matrix, candeloro D'Artagnan.
Dance: T&D encounters and other show programs pf theors.
Honorable mention to delobel and schoenfelder's FD this year. I love a pure, simple style for ice dance rather than the overly dramatic (A&P, most russians)or cheesy (b&k) style.
Women: Kwan Seherazade. Cohen SP at the 2002 olys. Lipinski, Hughes and Arakawas blinding winning performances.

Finally got to see Johnny's two recent programs! Both of them blew me away completly, and what masterpiece his SP is! The music was somewhat familiar to me, but I couldn't remember neither composer nor title. Had to take a look at his website, it's "Rondo Capriccioso" by Camille Saint-Saens.

No doubt you are remembering it as Michelle's LP music from her 1994-95 long program.

Wow, thanx for the reminder!!! I've just re-watched my extensive collection of Kwan tapes and of course you're right!!! I should've known ... would you please forgive me, since every Kwan program is so incredible unique/original, innovative, always surprising and exciting to watch ;) , it's really hard to have a view of ... and even harder to tell the difference between them ...

Let's talk about the presence now and celebrate Johnny Weir!!! The best thing coming from the US right now ... and popular among European skating fans after just one season!!!
