I like ballet and figure skating in general but Yulia's Schindler's List is the only one that brings tears to my eyes. I am so glad that I turned on TV that February night to watch Winter Olympics. I have been having a serious Yulia Fever since then.

Same here. If my parents had never watched the Russian news and didn’t see her skate, then I would have never paid any attention to figure skating. But they did, and when they showed me her Schindler’s List program, I was hooked!

Ps....I edited your comment
I am a subscriber to Yulia Fever

I got caught by the Lipnitskaya effect.
Good to hear! :agree: Still, imo the greatest "Lipnitskaya effect" will become visible in ~8-10 years when the finest amongsts troops of Russian 4-6 year olds that started their FS adventure after watching Yulia's SL in Sochi will arrive on the scene... It's scary to even think about it! ;)

Does anyone have any printed interviews with Julia? Or are there any websites for her?

i love julia's skating because it makes her look beautiful with her flexibility.
however, i'm worried about her jumps.
her jumps are very low and when she goes through the phase where her body starts to change, she'll not be able to jump.
i hope she keeps on practicing her jumps :I

Hmm...well I wouldn't worry much until you actually see her struggling with her jumps. Yulia already battled thru a fairly large growth spurt and was just fine. Better to just enjoy what we have in front of us while it lasts. No sense in worrying about something that may never happen. I personally know lots of girls who are well past Yulia's age that can still jump just fine and they are obviously nowhere near her skill or determination level :)

FYI ... Fan fest threads are designed to celebrate skaters.

I guess every skater needs to find the optimal heights of his/her jumps. Greater height sometimes needs to be traded with other factors such as stability and flow. :)
Yulia has a very analytical mind. I believe she and Eteri are constantly working to find the right balance.

Julia's jumps are not low. And not many skaters can fulfill the cascade of the two jumps at the same height! Look at that. http://russiasport.ru/video_hub/node/1871525
And Julia has grown only 2 centimeters.

Every time I hear refrain: "mi polyubili etu devochku odyetuyu w krasnoye" ("we fell in love with that girl dressed in red") and "mi gordimsya svoyey figuristkoy" ("we are proud of our figure skater") I love Russian people more and more. :agree:

Just found Yulia's hair color today, papa? Given her fan page is having a costume design contest, maybe it's a good time to recommend she dyes her hair ginger. :p
She hasn't grown an inch on fskate.ru: http://www.fskate.ru/skaters/554.html , is still 5 cm taller than Lena and the same height as Anna on both ISU and fskate sites.
We must be talking about two different Yulias: The one here is 2 cm shorter than the one there. But I do agree Yulia and Anna are of the same height. This picture proves it.

only in this case the singer is Ukrainian, from Nikolaev (http://vk.com/sandrpro)
Isn't the song in Russian? Maybe he's Russian Ukrainian?

Anyway, it doesn't matter that much, because I don't think of him specifically, when listening to the song, rather generally about Russian fans like these: http://cs607823.vk.me/v607823512/7819/-jLkElcqC3M.jpg
Just look at their faces, it's all written there! They're watching her, like she is their beloved daughter or sister, not just great, world class skater. This kind of connection is quite rare in the world of sport. It's beautiful.:)
