Jeff seems on the choreo team too. As much as I want to see Yuzu do ice shows, I don't think training environment for Yuzu in Japan is better than Canada. Too much media, maybe he'll do a close door one in Sendai after the shows. His hometown folks also seem to respect his privacy, so maybe that will work.

Shae Lynn will also fly to Japan this Aug for Friends, so maybe he'll stay around to work on the LP.

Same here. Although I do wish Yuzu would participate in THE ICE (it seems such a fun group!!) But I also think the environment while he is traveling around doing ice show in Japan is not enough for him to train and build up on his stamina. I wonder if this is why he struggles to land his jumps during the shows. Going back to Canada where he has a very stable training schedule will probably help him to build up his strength better! And finally he will have time for the ballad classes!!!!

may be it's just me, but I think Yuzu's 3A covers more distance than before, it was quite visible in Hana wa saku clip too...

Friends on ice is just in three days and Yuzuru doesn't seem to join the show, he probaly will have been staying in Canada for a month by that time. I don't think 3 days worth his time of flying back to Japan.

No. He was just a guest for the second Prince ice world show in May. His name is not listed in the 3rd shows coming up in July. So Fantasy on ice might be his last show this summer, hopefully he will not join The Ice or Friends on ice.

In July, Asahi News held an series lectures – ‘Challenge A’, targeting to learn challenge spirits from elite sportsmen/women. Yuzu was one of speakers to be invited to deliver his fighting experience. He was interviewed and taken the messages by video. In this year, Yuzuru was the first in SP, but he failed two 3A jumps in LP. He finally won over Kento and Shoma.
You can see he is angry after the competion, just the same reaction as that after the LP at Sochi

I don't think this was reported yet about FaOI (July 6) shows.

Afternoon show:
Ballade was beautiful 3A, 4T fall, 3Lz+3T OK. Collaboration with Sarah, popped a 4T into a double or single (person couldn't tell clearly), 3A fall.. After the finale he did a final 4T as revenge.

Night show:
Eagle 3A good, 4T strange landing, 1Lz. The person whose report I'm looking at could see Stephane from where she was sitting, apparently he gasped really loudly at seeing Yuzuru's 4T landed essentially horizontal and then cheered really loudly with a big smile. Collab had successful 4T and 3A. After the finale, he challenged 4Lo (hand down), 4Lz fall, and a final 4T+3A with a fall. I guess this is contrary to what Nathalie said, but everywhere I look people say he fell on the 4Lz, even though the rotation was there.

I think he has only performed Ballade cleanly the one time (FaOI July 5th afternoon show). Understandable, it must be a very busy off season for him!

Yuzuru's Nutrition Method
Around the summer time of 2013, Hanyu had a small appetite and so it was difficult for him to develop muscles. He felt tired after finishing his free program in 4.5 mins. He was in a situation where it was easy for him to catch a cold. After investigating his lifestyle, I realized that his digestive system movement starts slower than regular people. (by Victory Project staff Chief Kurihara)

So the "Victory Project" is a program to create a body which will not catch a cold and can keep up with the free program of 4.5 mins. This is the start of "Yuzuru's Nutrition Method".

Firstly, we advised him to take amino acid to help him to increase his appetite, his muscle strength and improve his immunity system. And then we search for some soup and nabe dishes in which Hanyu likes, something to bring out the Umami taste and get his digestive system going. We then provide some easy to make recipes and seasonings to Hanyu's mother.

^ Yeah, Yuzu seems to be a serious hard-worker, so when he goes back to Canada ... I'm guessing he'll start training right away. Also, he probably can find a lot more peace in Toronto compared to on-the-road traveling for various Ice Shows.
