Melon, that is complete nonsense...
Give the kid a break.

of course, will give her a break, and she can continue this behavior no less.
BTW, had there any other skaters done the same thing, will you give s/he a break?
But no, this isn't the same as Michelle or Yuna not showing up on Nagano or Sochi. Firstly, it's a GP, not the Olympics. Secondly, Michelle and Yuna lost while skating well, so not attending clearly sends the message of being unhappy with the judging. Yulia skated terribly, and not attending just shows that she was upset with herself.
 ITAEh, with the amount of vitriol that people are spewing her way, I don't blame her if she decides to take this season off.
I give her a pass on this. She probably wanted the earth to swallow her after that LP. I've been 16 before and reacted way more poorly than she did in competitive events (not skating) when I screwed up.

It was only yesterday. Give her time. She made an error? Ok, then she has to apologize to her competitors, to the organizers, to her fans in the audience, to those who were at home and also to those who don't care about her but had to attend such a chindish behaviour from a figure skating champion who is 16, a young lady, not a kid at her first competion.
And please, don't bring out that "Oh and you're all so perfect, right?" stuff, it's lamer than the excuse they gave.
