2014 Rostelecom Cup Men's Short Program 11/14

Eurosport commentators talking about Voronov having time to spare on the 3T made me wonder: has anyone ever tried something as crazy as 4T-4T? It seems to crazy to be possible but you never know...

I heard a few skaters have tried it out during practice but no one has done it in competition.

Jason BROWN (USA)

Music: Juke by Little Walters

Blue shirt, black pants, sparkly suspenders

3A - hangs on a bit
3F+3T - stepout, hands down (fall), looked at least 3T<
CSSp
StSq
3Lz
FCSp
CCoSp3p - ended after music

Not quite his best, that combo mistake can be costly

SP: 37.26+39.06 = 76.32, 4th (out of 9)

Sigh. Not feeling Jason this morning.

Not one of his better skates.

After Voronov's skate, Jason's program seemed particularly cutesy and cheesey. Not sure I'm loving this one.

Just one major error for Jason. But he also did no 'tano, and messed up the final spin. I wouldn't say it's a disaster though.

Is it smarter for a skater to finish their last spin(assuming that is the final element in their program, as is usually the case) but go over the music and get a -1 deduction? Or do they receive the deduction and possibly have their element invalidated?
