I hope so. It's their most important competition right now.
 
It says something that even a nervous skate still breaks 60, which none of other Russian Teams have done on their best days. They'll be fine. Hopefully they'll be calmer tomorrow!
 
Looking from the positive side, the lift seems much more stable today. Hope to see improvements on the FD tomorrow as well.
 
They finally got a level4 on the lift. I think that they probably focussed on getting the levels on the elements that weren`t working in their two outings and maybe neglected the elements that worked. Usually, they always received at least one l3 on the Paso and all their step sequences were l3 in COC and COR. You have to consider that they probably focussed on getting ready for Nationals and the qualification for the GPF was a big surprise.

Agree. I mean they are a new team. Breaking the 60 points with not a good skate is still amazing.

You have a point there. They said that much, that they were working on the FD for the nationals. They also changed the spins for the FD.

I think they will be fine. I think this was a lot of pressure for Ruslan and its ok. They will work out the kinks!
 
I think I love the way Lena tried to make light of it for Ruslan's sake. I like that. Ruslan, was sooo nervous. He must have been thinking too much about it. I sense he just really doesn't want to let Lena down. In time he'll learn that worrying will only make it worse. I hope they skate for themselves tomorrow.

Maybe they are not feeling well also. I heard she has cold maybe, and was coughing.
Apparently is cold there and perhaps they feel a bit tired also.
They must've been working like crazy these two weeks to speed up the changes in the FD.
 
Elena and Ruslan looked gorgeous together in the SD. It seems like they (especially Ruslan) put to much pressure to perform an amazing Carmen in Bareclona because of the Paso/Carmen connection with Spain IMO. I wonder if the GPF had been in another country, maybe they would have been less nervous in the SD. I also think, the performance in Moscow was gonna be hard to top so soon, so that could have been an added pressure.

It must really cold in the arena, because it looked liked Ruslan had a runny nose before the start of the program, either that or he is sick (hopefully not). LOVED how Elena tried comforting Ruslan after the dance. There is so much to love about these two. Even though they are in 6th, they are about 4 points away from 3rd with teams that have been together for at least 3 1/2 years and longer.

On a side note, I just watched the musical Lili ( http://youtu.be/oJ5cPp7uJls )

That's what a friend of mine told me too. I didn't notice that at the beginning tbh, I was too nervous myself. :hopelessness: I hope they are not sick.
