Russian Qualifiers and other important competitions

Proklova would have won easily  Thanks for the results, Mao. I quite like Alina, even with those mistakes. As soon as she goes clean her scores will be very respectable (and she's ellegible for next season's JGP!).

Elizaveta Iushenko presented two very different programs. She was smiling from ear to ear in the SP and then much more serious in the FS. Well done.

When will Russian Federation publish who qualified to the Russian nationals?
Past season it was published at Dec 16.

Do Zahorski & Guerreiro qualify for Russian Nationals?
Probably yes.
10 Dance couples at Nationals.
4 from GP Events, 4 on results of Russian Cup Events and probably Bobrova & Soloviev (they lost both GP and Russian Cup because of his injury) and Zahorski & Guerreiro.

Federation has some quota to give "byes" to Nationals (both Senior and Junior) for skaters-couples, who skate good (really National level) but by some circumstances did not qualify.

Russian nationals start in 8 days and they still haven't published who will compete! Some of them are obvious (those who competed at GP events or qualified to JGP) but there would be a few who are somewhere not too far from being named but don't know whether they made it. It think it is pretty bad that they don't get find out earlier; how can they prepare? And organise transport, get things ready...

Only 8 days? :jaw: I'm going crazy! Hopefully they will publish the list until the end of the week.

Perhaps...
A) The qualified skaters have received a personal message and are already training
B) All the skaters with chances to compete are already training - if they aren't called, the training won't be wasted, since Junior Nationals has yet to come and important senior championships are getting closer and closer.

I expect the publish of lists is a formality, the skaters will know they are going or not.

I hope B/S are able to compete. What is the story with V/T? It should be a very exciting championship in all the disciplines.

I'm afraid B&S most probably will not compete. V&T neither. Max is in Germany for a month, rehabilitation. So, I expect V&T will not go to Euros either.

Are B/S still injured?!

They are back in training, but according to an interview on the 5th of december he could still not do all elements, like lifts. Someone wrote on FSU yesterday that they are not going to partecipate.
Well, they don't have problems in regards to Russian team choice. So no need to rush.

At Russian Cup Events skaters know about themselves they are going or not.
But full lists are known only when Entries/Results are up.
Members of Team Pussia may be added at last moment in they want Russian Cup Event as practice.

I believe, skaters know about themselves will they be at Nationals or not, or they are substitutes.

Why hasn't Adelina Sotnikova officially been ruled out yet? Or has she? I haven't heard anything but I'm pretty sure she isn't competing in 9 days.

Sotnikova did not restore after injury.

Last info I have (few days ago) - she did not start practice on ice.

Update - Sotnikova started ice practice 17 Dec 2014. No jumps of course. http://tass.ru/sport/1657737
