Russian Qualifiers and other important competitions

Sotnikova did not restore after injury.

Last info I have (few days ago) - she did not start practice on ice.

 I really liked the idea behind her programs. Pity we couldn't see them properly in competition when she is in full strength. Let's hope she will keep them for the next season. I am not giving up. I believe she has a chance to come back the same way as Tuktamysheva and Kavaguti-Smirnov did. Everyone else thought they would retire...

Tuktamysheva had similar injury 02 March 2014. Her first competition after injury was 11 Sep 2014, for more than 6 months.
So don't panic and tell about "retirement". Sothikova has time to restore.

 I assume this means no Worlds and no Euro for Adelina.

Euro - probably no for Adelina.

Worlds - may be for her. Adelina may recover in shorter time.
At 24-28 Feb 2015 will be Final of Russian Cup - winner of this competition often earn Worlds spot, at 2013 Leonova, at 2014 Pogorilaya.

Would've been great to watch her compete. That would've been more exciting, trying to figure out who among these talented girls would be on the podium...

Can the federation send her to worlds despite the lack of competitions/experience this season?

For what its worth, I compiled a potential roster based on high scores from the qualifiers and internationals...put them in groups roughly by score and/or general standing to get some sort of order...

Men-
1-6- Voronov, Kovtun, Menshov, Gachinski, Petrov, Pitkeev
7-12- Dmitriev, Gorshkov, Samarin, Kvitelashvili, Milyukov, Lakuzin
13-18- Lezheev, Shulepov, S. Borodulin, Kurbanov, Bernardiner, Aliev, or Vlasov

Not sure where Zhan Bush has been this year, is he still skating?

Ladies-
1-9- Tuktamysheva, Radionova, Leonova, Pogorilaya, Medvedeva, Sakhanovich, Proklova?, Lipnitskaya, Sotskova
10-12 Ogoreltseva, Artemieva, Stavitskaya
13-18- Pervushkina, Iushenko, Kaumova, Gorozova, Ivankov, Korobeinikova?

Pairs-
1-5 Stolbova/Klimov, Kavaguti/Smirnov, Astakhova/Rogonov, Tarasova/Morozov, Bazarova/Deputat
6-10 Vigalova/Zakroev, Zabijako/Larionov, Fedorova/Miroshkin, Davankova/Enbert, C/S-K

Dance-
1-4- Ilinykh/Zhigashin, Sinitsina/Katsalapov, Monko/Khaliavin, Stepanova/Bukin
5-8 Zahorski/Guerreiro, Kosigina/Moroshkin, (maybe JGP teams if they have sr programs- Yanovskaya/Mozgov, Popova/Vlasenko)

Why are you being so rude, hanca? Not everyone goes to all forums, plenty of people cross post, and haribobo is supplying useful information.

Thanks, uhh. I pretty rarely come on here, but since I put all the work together to compile this hypothetical roster and noticed some people on both forums asking when a roster would come out, well I thought this might come in handy or at least be interesting to compare to the real roster.

I'm curious. As much as I want her to compete, what makes you think she would have qualified without making it to the JGPF or her 2nd Russian Cup event?

Thanks!

For pairs, wouldn't the other 2 pairs at JGPF also have automatic spots at senior nationals? I think I read somewhere though Fedorova/Miroshkin aren't planning on competing at senior nats this year.

Sad for Proklova, but maybe this gives her more time to heal and gear up for jr natls.

Doubt any of the jr ice dancers will compete in senior, but I think Zenkova/partner might still be around?

Because it gets boring reading the same post at various forums. On 14.12. someone created at FSU the thread about coaches' reactions to their skaters during competitions, and the following day (surprise, surprise) there is suddenly also a thread here at this forum about coaches' reactions to their skaters. Some people obviously don't have anything better to do so they start copying threads from other forums and/or sending the same posts to various forums. That shouldn't happen in my view.

According to this interview with Evgeni Rukavitsin, he is taking 7 skaters to Nationals: Dmitry Aliev, Anton Shulepov, Roman Galkin, Konstantin Menshov, Gordei Gorshkov, + Leonova & Artemieva.

@AlexRus, can you explain why it is so important to finish at the Russian nationals up to sixth place? Medvedeva said in one interview that she placed 7th last year and therefore did not get on the team. But she has been on the junior team, so what's the difference? What team did she mean she did not get on?

It is not so direct and simple.

After 2012/2013 season Main Senior Team (like Team A of Team USA) included:
Tuktamysheva, Radionova, Sotnikova - medalists of SrNats, Radionova was also JrWorlds Champion (so she was included being not eligible to ISU Senior Championships at 2013/2014).
Lipnitskaia (wasn't at SrNats because of injury) - she qualified to GP Final and was JrWorlds Silver Medalist and she was eligible to ISU Senior Championships at 2013/2014.
Gosviani - 6th at SrNats, 6th at Euro.
Leonova - 7th at SrNats, Silver Medalist at Worlds-2012 (so she had two "privileged seasons" for Team Russia).

Not included - Sakhanovich (4th at SrNats) and Pogorilaya (5th at SrNats), they were in Junior part of Team Russia (it is like Team B of Team USA).

After 2012/2013 season Main Senior Team included only 4 Ladies.
Sotnikova and Lipnitskaia - 1 and 2 places at SrNats, Olympic Champions, Euro Medalists, Lipnitskaia World Silver Medalist.
Radionova - 3rd place at SrNats, JrWorlds Champion.
Pogorilaya - 8th place at SrNats, 4th place at Worlds.
All four - GP Finalists.

Proklova, Leonova, Sakhanovich (4-6 places of SrNats) were not included. Leonova was in Reserve Senior Team (like Team C of Team USA), Proklova and Sakhanovich - in Junior Team.
Medvedeva (7th at SrNats, 3rd at JrWorlds) was in Junior Team too.

We see, only medalists of SrNats and the best in Internationals (Senior Internationals - GP, Euro, Worlds, of Junior Internationals only JrWorlds Champion) were included in Senior Team Russia after two previous seasons.
Top4 to Top6 on results of both SrNats and Internationals.

40 younger girls, 13 younger boys.
35 elder girls. 13 elder boys - some known names. Boys - Ilya Skirda etc.
Girls
Alina Solovieva https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s76nU4tStfo
Ekaterina Mitrofanova https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur7vc2R98IE
etc

All entries of younger age are unknown.
Some of them may become well-known in future.
As became known Elena Radionova, Anna Pogorilaya, Alexander Samarin - unknown skaters of younger age at 2009.
Daniil Bernadiner, Evgenia Medvedeva, Maria Sotskova at 2010.
Alexandra Proklova at 2011.

Level of skaters now is much higher than few years ago.
At 2009 of Younger Age only Radionova at Zhuk Memorial tried triple (3S, fall in SP, landed in FS).
Now of Younger Age at previous competition Alexandra Trusova tried 3Lz+3T (in fact 3Lz+3T<<), Anastasia Tarakanova lands all five triples.

Results of Elements:
Younger Girls http://ffkm.ru/images/files/014-15/2015-01-13_Perv_ml_vz/results/CAT009RS.HTM
Younger Boys http://ffkm.ru/images/files/014-15/2015-01-13_Perv_ml_vz/results/CAT010RS.HTM
Elder Boys http://ffkm.ru/images/files/014-15/2015-01-13_Perv_ml_vz/results/CAT012RS.HTM

Alexandra Trusova 49.00, it means Technical Score 24.5 (score is multiplied by two) for one Combo, one Jump, one Stsq, one CCoSp.
Huge score, probably she landed 3Lz+3T.
