Wakaba's coach should help her getting better choreography and spins. That's what she is lacking. Oh and that flip as well.

This felt lethargic after the last 3 skaters and the mistakes didn't help. She needs to work on speed and expression. I would put her behind Sotskova.

Other people have mentioned this, but what I love about Wakaba is that she has great skating skills (and I don't just mean that she skates fast). Like Midori, she can gain speed with very few crossovers and control that speed. Her ability to change direction is also very good. The only weak part of her basic skating is that her knee action is not very smooth and fluid. I think she can handle more intricate programs in the future. I love your nickname for her.
absolutely, I have been wanting to say this for a long time for wakababy!

Not really impressed with this batch of Russian girls. Serifina has some weird jumps and her landings are rough.

Aww just a point away from silver... But Wakaba is a competitor, this disappointment will fire her and hopefully will push her to improve in the other areas so that she can catch up with the other girls next season.
She has to correct the edge on her Flip though. It's always what let her down on the SP.

To people complaining about low PCS for Wakaba: do you really think Wakaba had better PCS than Sotskova and Tursynbaeva? Personally, I don't think so. But her score is higher.

Evgenia's great to watch!
Wakaba may be a real threat in years to come. She can start out with a bronze and next year win it all. She'll have something to aim for.

Wakaba PCS was low compare to Russia girls....I think Wakaba might possibly win if she was received more PCS in her SP and LP. Because her total combine TES was higher than Russian girls.I really see a great feature from Wakaba..She skates and jumps like a senior...For me she is my #1.

I only see one emotion from Wakaba in all her programs. Why are people questioning her low pcs. I thought it would be obvious.

She's only 14, so she has another year to get some more junior hardware. :)

She'll be senior eligible in the 2016-2017 season (she will turn 15 in Feb. 1, 2016).

Seriously, this kind of judging makes me want to stop watching the sport (not really though). If there's a competition, the judges have to make sure that it will be a real figure skating competition, not a reputation competition. I really enjoy all the top 3, Serafima was really on, but today Wakaba was the best in the FS and the 2nd best overall.

This seems not the first time when Rajicova anchors some junior competition on a totally anti-climatic note.
