This judging makes the competition boring. You already know that even if another great girl skates better than the others with an incredible performance, she will lose to the russians. RG all over again :drama:

Please don't hate me for saying this, but... I enjoyed watching Serafima and Wakaba more than Evgenia today.
Oh, her tech score is 4 points lower. Huh.

WHats up with Russian Juniors having like a classic start, then a weird funky beat and then back to that classic? Evgenia, Sima, Julia, Sotnikova, Tukt, I think Radionova, I guess Sotskova all had it... Is it like a tactic to see what they're best at?

I got too excited after wakababy, did not pay much attention to evgenia, just an impression, she skated clean.

So far the Japanese girl has impressed me the most. Something about Serifina's jumps and landings bug me.

If she reminds you of Sotnikova then hopefully she'll take the path of having upbeat programs!!

Higuchi should have been within a point of Medvedeva overall...next year she could very well win it. If Marin Honda or Yuna Aoki don't really step up to the plate.

Other people have mentioned this, but what I love about Wakaba is that she has great skating skills (and I don't just mean that she skates fast). Like Midori, she can gain speed with very few crossovers and control that speed. Her ability to change direction is also very good. The only weak part of her basic skating is that her knee action is not very smooth and fluid. I think she can handle more intricate programs in the future. I love your nickname for her.

Higuchi is amazing. Best jumper in ladies now only next to Liza. She will be the next world junior champion for sure.

As I dissected Wakaba's SP for my recap video I was floored by her improvement this season in presentation. Both being within a few points seems fair enough but I could see it going either way. It's a shame close calls are never definitive. Wakaba may run JGP next season so she has that going for her. I do like her a lot and can't wait for the videos :yay:

Medvedeva 59PCS? Really? :( Why Wakaba got only 54PCS? :( That was lovely, clean skate....

Yes, do watch them and realize that the PCS gap between Sima and Wakaba is well deserved and if anything the judges are generous to Wakaba.
