You know I was watching I/K's Olympic season SD today and I've got to say I hope they go that way. Lena was so good in that quickstep foxtrot. Its just so easy to forget just how versatile she is with the success of the Carmen SD this year. Need I say it would be such a departure as many seem to be going with the traditional waltz, wheee

I like the fact they're reaching out to new things, unlike some others in the past and not only. That's the greatest thing about Lena and Ruslan for me, they're doing things their way and not the others' way.

I agree. She was awesome in the Olympic SD. I have to go back and look at S/Z to see how Ruslan does.

I believe S/Z did quickstep and swing, not foxtrot. Still, I thought he was very good. Nice lightness and energy.

Exactly! They both have such interesting, unique personalities and are so talented that they've managed to stand out in their first season together (IMHO more than any other dance duet). I'm so happy for them that they have the courage to go their own way, and that their coaches fully support them in their choices.
According to S/Z's ISU profile, their rhythm selections were quickstep and swing.

This was Sinitsina and Zhiganshin's 2009 OD (during their neon phase). The first part sounds like a foxtrot, second a charleston.

And Anna Yanovskaya posted a picture of her and Sergey in front of the bus. So they should be on their way to Latvia.
I hope that we will get some details about their SD, since they'll be getting it choreographed soon. Or at least who these leading dance professionals are.
