I think that doing the SP again, one he knows well and is comfortable with already, will enable him to put even more into the new FS. I've always considered the SP to get you into contention and then the FS is where you make your move. Now his training can be concentrated on bringing us the perfect free skate. I'd say it's a smart move that may bring great moments to him and his fans.

Totally unexpected, after all these suspense and misleading hints that he would do a new program, in the end he kept Chopin lols!! Now I know why he performed seimei in doi instead of his sp.....

I think Yuzuru want to show the full potential that has this program, after he said he did not 100% as he wanted .. will it change something in clothes ??

Agree to that, and second... well at least we don't have to hold our breath about the new SP costume.
The costume concern must be a big point for you, right? (lol)
The question is… Do you think the taste of Ballade is somewhat similar to SEIMEI? It’s a bit serious, not fun (nor rock star type!). Further both are white costumes..

I think he will make some change about costume. At least color. But he might the change about FP costume. He said the FP costume at shows was not final version.

Indeed, he said in the interview he is going to attempt the original layout, and in the public run thru practice he landed 4T in the latter half! The article does not say anything about the 3a, so he may have fallen on that.

Now, about EX, he must bring rock-star type or rhythmic EX (provably new). Ballade, SEIMEI, Requiem,, all of them have little fun factor. At least I don’t think he’ll do Requiem at overseas competitions (though he may do it at NHK considering his belief).

Wow, have to say that I did not see that one coming...but there should be a new program choreographed , the one that " shows off his rhythm or something", just that he is not using it this season? And I am just as surprised to see him not going to Finlandia...I guess he cares a lot more about not having a clean SP last season than I had thought.
As far as costume go, I like the idea of the a different color variation even though I do love the original. I think there was actually a fan art from twitter than someone made, substituting all the colors into the Chopin costume.

I honestly don't think he'll have a new EX, he may do believe or requiem for NHK and another old program for international events.
