Oh dear, the spoken word parts have gotta go. It's just weird and schmaltzy. Not in love with the program, I was hoping for more Mariah Bell-esque Titanic and less Celine Dion, although thankfully the lyrics are held off until the end.
Well, the girl really grown up, in all the right ways. Lutz is definitely getting better.

Aren't they using the same Nocturne as Mao? I like this one and her program is a masterpiece, but in this case it doesn't work that much. Some nice moments there though.

Yeah that's Dutch. I haven't heard the toe loop being called a cherry flip before though. I think nowadays they just say toe loop too, though I admit I never watch with Dutch commentary so I'm not sure.

My problem with Elena's Titanic program is the music for the most part, all sounds very similar. I would prefer if there was some variation - e.g. with Les Mis and Phantom, at least you get to hear different songs and themes so it remains interesting. With Titanic, it all sounds so repetitive. Actually, Julia's LP music also has the same problem- it all sounds so repetitive. I wish them both the very best with their programs this year, though I'm not a fan.

Please change that combo lift.
First pose is just ugly and then changing into rotational is very awkward. Rotational pose is very generic too.Their free dance is very very boring. They should add more tempo in it. But shouldn't be a problem to beat Steapnova/Bukin, Monko/Khaliavin or others just because of skating quality.

Well, they are at Skate America & TEB this season so they will be out of Russia. An interesting battle at Skate America among the young dance teams: Hawayek & Baker, Nazarova & Nikitin, & Y&M--though I think H&B at home and with an extra season & GP medal are on a different playing field this season. Still, it's an interesting glimpse into the future to have all those teams in the same GP.

I don't know if they changed the lifts from last year (they kept this program right?), but that was dreadful. I expected more. And I agree with it being boring. There are a lot of same positions for Bobrova throughout the dance.
