Well that was... interesting! Poor Max having trouble with his toe pick again I thinkThey did really well though in their first contest in so long im proud of em!
Yes, his toe picks. They did a PERFECT twist in the 6-min warm-up!
I'm not sure -- will some consider it generous? I don't know enough about the scoring to make a judgment.
I think this is a positive expirience for them. They should work harder, no one is going to hand them gold medals for their past achievements. And sooner they will understand that, sooner they'll be on top again.
And it seems like everyone forgotten that Max had a surgery on his shoulder, he actually comes back after the difficult injury. I excpected higher score, but this is for the best. Their FP will be much better, they're not going to be this nervous for sure.

Thinking in "context" (as much as you can do that with this system), 32 for PCS seems fair, considering a great D/R and S/H get 33 or 34 (and a great V/T get upwards of 38).

Thanks for the clip! Watching it again -- Have I got it wrong or did it seem that Max just barely caught Tanya in time, as she came down from the throw? He seemed to realize he was too far from her and he went to extreme lengths (and that’s when he tripped on his toe pick) to make sure to catch her. It was a little nerve-wracking really…

I hope it was just nerves... I'm worried if it's really ok with his shoulder, to be honest...
I think Max wasn't 2 full revolutions in low position(((
What bother me a lot - if everything all right with his shoulder.

Oh, yes. I was counting the low positions earlier than when it started.
I think his shoulder is fine. Their practices look terrific.

Well, good for them to get the first skate jitters out. Hopefully they'll be less nervous now for the LP. It would be nerve-wracking for anyone to come back after a long absence, especially under such high expectations!

Sorry, actually, the toe pick wasn't the problem in this move -- he just sort of stumbled to be sure to be in position to catch her....
