2015-16 Russian Qualifiers and other events

Tuktamysheva is ill now. She may skate much better if in good state.

I think she skated much better than I expected under such condition. Her jumps are beautiful as usual. It is interesting to see that she put the 2nd lutz in the latter part of the program, and I think her 3flip is getting more secure and much better than before.

Both Liza and Nastya are Juliets this season. It will be interesting which version gets more points (I prefer Gubanova's, but Nugumanova can sell her program very well). Those two will take the world by storm :cheer:

Gubanova's skating is so beautiful and mature that I am at a loss for words: Is she really a 13-year-old girl? Simply superb! Lozko is also a very promising skater. Hope they can stay injury-free and get through puberty successfully.

Gubanova is not even 13 y.o. yet, she will turn 13 in December.

What place did Valieva get in the Free Skate? Email me the answer yo: [email protected]

I sincerely don't think the 13 year old american skaters have much of a chance compared to 15 russian
girls between those ages that can skate so well, jump higher and do more jumps.

Hmmm... I had to google to know who you were talking about.

Her fskate profile is here...

The event where her swan lake video was shot is here... she placed 23rd in the SP.

She was the youngest to qualify to skate and most of the other skaters are 2 years older. She hasn't skated at a more recent event that I can find the results for.

Okay so I'm trying to remember the name of a very young Russian skater who's performance (last year) was posted in the GS forum.
She was 8 years old I believe and only had double jumps down (no triples yet). What made her stand out was her extraordinary presentation for such a young age.
I want to say her last name began with a 'V'. Can anyone help out? Just curious to see how she might be progressing this year.
Sorry I can't be more specific.
