Given it's also a requirement of the ISU for any competition to have their results public during and after the event.

Plus, why go to the K&C after you skate?

Your guess is as good as mine. If you read the few comments above yours, you will find that, due to technical problems, even the skaters aren't getting the scores!

I am looking forward to seeing what the scores actually are. I wonder if we will get some head scratchers due to this. I mean the judges can't hear the scores either, so i wonder how much they are normally influenced. Now the judges are scoring without influence of how high or low the scores have been.

That being said... should they even be competing if they can't get the scoring to work... i guess are their paper backups?

How can they start the competition if the scoring system isn't working? Are they doing the calculations manually?
I suppose there's some sort of score given before the nest competitor skates, otherwise... Really, this is a mess of the highest orders

Finally, news!! A score update!!!!

"Jozef Beständig As a member of the organizing committee, let me please apologize for the incovenience. I undestand your displeasure. If the calc. system decides not to work, there is no way we can fix it within seconds. It is not nice, it is something we don't like, it is something we are sorry for. but I would like to see results now. There will be European Championship at the same arena in January. I am hoping thre will be no such problems than. no scores yet as the score system is broken and they can not count them."

So yes... there are no scores. At all. These poor, poor skaters. Imagine skating and not even knowing what you get for hours.

I do not really understand... are the scores at least being saved somewhere? Will they ever be known? How are they planning to fix this? Why are the skaters going to the K&K?

This is basically what I am wondering- is the issue that the scores can't be compiled and added together from all the judges, or is the scoring system really totally broken?

See my fear is that if they can't get it to calculate... is the system recording things properly even? I guess the judges could be keeping score by hand to be totaled later. But if they are recording them in the same evil computer system that is refusing to calculate... well i would not have much hope that it was being saved and not lost in the digital abyss.

As Alba said there is no TV schedule.... this could have been delayed.

Evgenia, Mariah, Riona, Maria, Roberta, Yuka, Joshi, Anna, Sara and Gabrielle for the top 10!

They should just use the 6.0 system for now to rank them and switch to IJS when it's fixed.
