Okay I get Yuzuru is king of the ice, but with a UR quad step out and an off-kilter 3Z getting 93 points?!?!?! Geez, even Chan was never gifted that amount of inflation.
Nam should still be 2nd but not more than 3 points behind Hanyu. I hope this doesn't continue on the Grand Prix... Top competitors (Chan, Hanyu, whoever) need to not be placed so high over skaters who go clean - I mean, Nam was perfect.![]()

And I don't think the 4T was under-rotated but I can't complain with the score.
It's like why should anyone else even bother trying to compete, if he gets scores like this even with errors.Okay I get Yuzuru is king of the ice, but with a UR quad step out and an off-kilter 3Z getting 93 points?!?!?! Geez, even Chan was never gifted that amount of inflation.

). Nam may not be a Hanyu or Chan in PCS, but he isn't a total slouch in SS and performance either. If Javi is getting the scores he's getting, Nam should be able to get higher PCS too. Plus that quad-triple! It's heartening to see he beat Hanyu in TES, meaning that GOE and second-half program jumps still didn't make up the difference from Hanyu's errors.
Yeah, I like Yuzuru very much but the scoring is...It's like why should anyone else even bother trying to compete, if he gets scores like this even with errors.

i know lots of you love the chopin ballade of Yuzu but if i do like his skating... the musical cuts make me cringe... this is a 10 minute piece... that starts slowly and opens up to a marvellous lyrical section to finish in a crazy ending.. it tells a full story... the musical cuts here just don't make any sense at all...
In any case, happy to have seen some great skating tonight.

We'll see what happens on the grand prix, but I'm not too astonished by this score.
I don't get this argument at all,
And the cut is very well made imo.
Yuzuru is exceptional imo but yes the gap could've been smaller,
Though i suspect Nam's consistency and rate of improvement will raise his comopnents throughout the season so nevermind
Anyone else the UR call on Yuzuru's 4T is bogus?
I disagree...This particular program is beautifully choreographed and was executed very well. All of his spins were level 4, all of his jumps were rotated, the quad and the combination were in the second half, and the points are the points. Yuzuru has a higher base value than Nam, so yes, the tes was fair because of the level 4 spins and the quality of everything else that he did beside the quad and to some extent the combination. Nam actually beat Yuzuru technically. Yuzu was just leagues better in PCS. Was it a little generous for a stepout, maybe a little bit, but nothing ridiculous by any means. Nam has improved, and his score was almost 10 points above his worlds sp score, and rightly so. tbh, Yuzuru had a beautiful program with superior skating skills, and fluidity and technique, so I don't really think this is a huge deal. We'll see what happens on the grand prix, but I'm not too astonished by this score.

(Unless there's severe pre-rotation)It really takes away the mood from reading boards on comp updates when every single one there's complain about overscoring and skater-flation. Even small competition is being nitpicking at. Can't we just focus on positive things happened on ice rather than nitpicking on every single mistake needs to points out because the score given is not faaaaiiir. Demolished the 2nd half bonus point or banned the skaters from taking advantages and taking risk then maybe it will finally be at peace with simple and clean program because the skaters are robot. =____=;
