This part especially made me happy: "There is a slight lack of control, but this is a program which is going to develop through the season, it's not completely polished yet, but by the end of the season it's going to be just brilliant!" I find this assessment reassuring, because I'm feeling like such a bad fan for not finding this year's IZ programs as charming as last year's SD. Perhaps I just don't understand them then. The FD has potential to grow on me, so I hope I like it better when it's skated with more confidence and practice. As for the SD, I'd love it as a gala but I just can't see the waltz there. :_( My problem is totally not with IZ partnership and skating skills, but mostly with the music chosen and the cuts, which is just not catchy or fluid for me, especially combined with their nervosity; at least not as catchy and smooth as C/B, C/L and also, dare I say it, S/K's SD. I'm glad to hear they aim for the highest difficulty though, and are not satisfied with a nervous skate. I'm keeping my fingers crossed like crazy that they nail it at Rostelecom. In the absence of a praying smiley, this will have to do: :dance:
Really though, I don't really care what they skate to in the gala, they're not really at the point where they have time to make real exhibitions. Their real exhibition will probably also be heavily taken from their programs, if not completely copied.
I thought about it but it's a beautiful pose. I guess her costume here and his non costume helps also.
