TEB is Cancelled

No, my proposal is to move them right now from France to the place in Italy or elsewhere that will agree to conduct Free Skating ASAP. For instance on Monday on Tuesday. So they won't have to go home and come back, they go home after LP next week.

Of course I realize it's not easy to arrange and but some solution has to be found. And in fact every solution in this situation has considerable drawbacks. So they have to find best of the "bad" solutions.
Honestly... In this kind of situation if they were let complete the competition- most of the skaters would be in better physical condition than within a few days after the tragedy. Because when you realise what happenned your body will react a bit later, most of them would be weak in a few days, weaker than now. I can't even imagine what they feel right now, there are French skaters, they must be heavily affected. I don't know what is the right decision in this situation. I wish they take a wise one.

Hmmmm ... Nov 13 is the date/time stamp for the all the TEB Results pages.
Don't know the significance of that or lack thereof. Just mentioning.
Could be nothing. The time stamps seem to correspond (more or less) to when each of the SP/SD segments concluded yesterday -- so maybe the time stamps automatically got carried over when the SP/SD Results were copied to the "overall" Results pages.

For reference, I am recording below the time stamps shown as of now -- so we will be able to tell if/when the pages are updated/"finalized" in some way later.

I think it's better to go with SP standings than coming up with a measure that is no going to be fair for everyone. Probably they can let each skater decide whether to go with SP standings at TEB or to have another shot at COR or NHK? Well, the skaters enrolled for NHK and COR might feel unfair tho...

Maybe if the TEB skaters could skate there, but have them be in a separate results classification?
I doubt something like this will decided anyway, though.

I'm assuming if they weren't willing to just hold a Judges only competition they probably won't go for that either

The ISU was willing to hold a judges only competition. They issued a statement at one point saying they were working with the authorities and that was one of the options being considered.

Letting the SP results stand isn't any more "unfair" than for example enrolling the TEB skaters in the last two comps, therefore creating much more stacked fields there as compared to the first three competitions. So anyone who had the luck to be already done with their events (like Chock/Bates) has an unfair advantage compared to those who still need to skate. It will be also very tiring for the TEB skaters and create a logistics nightmare. There are no good solutions here anymore.

Maybe the ISU could organise a small two day event between the NHK Trophy & GPF.
I know it would be awkward but if any of the skaters wanted to qualify for the Final then it would be a good opportunity.
It's a total mess but I really think it would be unfair to have the SP results as final standings. The sport is based on two programs.

It is likely that this will happen, but honestly, particularly in this sport, I don't think this is particularly fair. Patrick Chan (probably) and Liza Tukt and Tarasova/Mozorov's (definitely) chances to get to the final are essentially ruined by this, when we all know it's almost certain they'd have pulled themselves up in the free. Their qualification wasn't guaranteed either but this forecloses it.

I don't think it's that unfair, to be honest. It just shows that one can't just let oneself screw up half of the competition. Not gonna lie, though, I'll be disappointed if I don't see Patrick in Barcelona.

I can't think of a better solution, but some of the SP results are a little bit unfair.
Why? SP results as of now are only SP results. Every skater showed their best at that day and time. We have no idea waht ISU will count as a final result, my guess that they will arange LP skates for participants at later events (if skaters agree to do so). Basically not every skater should agree to go to a different event for the sake of free skate. Only those who has a desire and are able to go to GPF according to their skill.

People lives shouldn't be valued more or less due passport. People should stay people and act like that no matter what. It's a tragedy not to be made fun of
What has that to do with the value of people and their passports? Satire is an art movement. The intention of satire is not to make fun of something or somebody. Satire can be humorous but it's intention is social criticism. And I believe that Charlie Hebdo has to continue their work particularly in times like these. It's important.

Yeah, it is easier for an organization to go with what they've got rather than coming up with a new solution.

Well, to be honest, I dare say that it is only GPF not the Worlds.
