Yuna Kim

Some ammunition for us Yuna fans. ;)

Folks around here like to insist that Yuna has done only one or two competitions in her entire life that where she was clean* in both the SP and the LP. That's a load of baloney!!

She's done it at each level to the top, from Korean Nationals to the Grand Prix to Worlds and the Olympics! As proof you may enjoy these videos:

1. Junior GPF 2005 (SP, LP)
2. Korean Nationals 2006 (SP, LP)
3. Vancouver Olympics 2010 (SP, LP)
4. Worlds 2013 (SP, LP)
5. Sochi Olympics 2014 (SP, LP)

*clean as in no falls, pops, step-outs or stumbles.

But...must we with the ammunition..? Some of our lot are a bit too belligerent as it is :hopelessness:

I'd rather marvel at how she delivered when it mattered most. The master of peaking

I just found the related article.
PyeongChang 2018 hosts 2nd Paralympic Day event
SEOUL, March 9, 2016 – The PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) has celebrated its ‘2nd Paralympic Day’ at the Uiam Ice Rink in Chuncheon, capital city of Gangwon Province on March 9th, 2016.

‘Paralympic Day’ is part of PyeongChang’s promotions to enhance the awareness and perception of para-sports in Korea.  POCOG President Yang-Ho Cho, Governor of Gangwon Province CHOI Moon-soon, Korean Paralympic Committee (KPC) President KIM Sung-il, International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Governing Board member NA Kyung-won, PyeongChang 2018 Ambassador KIM Yuna, and other officials from the sports industry attended the event to celebrate 2-years-to-go to the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games.

I pick my battles carefully. Outright lies or falsehoods I will tend to fight back.

If some one says they don't like Yuna or they think she's got no artistry or they hate how she doesn't point her toes, I leave it alone.

I was trying to find more clean programs of Yuna's during her junior time. cos I had an impression that Yuna had higher consistency before puberty. but it seems the completely clean sets of programs are still the list you posted(but many near perfect performances), Also Yuna seems grew quite a lot during the last couple of months of her last junior season.but during my little search process, i got to appreciate so many of Yuna's beautiful 3loop jump :p
watched so many outings of Yuna's papa can you hear me.
then I watched Yuna's SITC.
Yuna is so perfect for violin from Papa can you hear me to SITC.
The same kinda instrument, the growth of interpretation.
As many has posted here, Yuna's whole body is the music.
in the end, in adios, Yuna added bandaleon into her repertoire.
PS: I watched this link of Yuna's adios instead of the link you posted (close it immediately once I heard the commentary )
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YY8kPAghDc8
no commentary version of Yuna's performance is always the best:biggrin:

GOD. i miss her. :sad46:

i guess after david's interview, we pretty much agree that we will never see yuna skate again, not even in ice shows.

There was someone who brought up Yuna's singing in one of the threads. Made me watch her youtube videos again haha
Here's my favorite cover from her. That voice. :luv17:

acctually, I was listening to Yuna's singing these days as well, Chinese skater Han Yan, recorded a new song and posted on his weibo. this is how I got to listen to Yuna again.
this is the Yuna singing that hooked me, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oxsk-US2Vws
I dont understand the lyrics, so I googled it, actually it has an english version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5t6R_SDz660
I attempted to sing this song, but couldnot (the pitch range is too much :p:biggrin:). then I realized, it must be very difficult to bent it live. Yuna is really a super talented girl.

Yuna is also very talented in acting as well, just watch those commercials she made. I hope she can show up in public more in any format in the future, singing, acting and ....skating..:o:

We haven't heard any words from her.. I think we should be more careful in saying so sure about this issue. I see no reason of stopping her show in korea. It's very popular and profitable.. Even her ex agency wanted to continue her show.:scratch2:

Agree. As long as Yuna hasn't declared herself that she won't be doing shows anymore, I will always believe she will skate again in shows. Didn't ATS said that Yuna will continue to do shows in the future but will retire from competitive skating only? I remember they said that during Yuna's farewell ice show. I do believe she's just taking a break and is busy with grad school and promotion of Pyeongchang Olympics. She will come back. ;)

^^I think he said"after one" and later he said " good job good job"in korean. Yuna seemed so exhausted that she was just mumbling.

zijun' new documentary in Chinese

at around 17min, they are showing Chinese national, there is a little girl, skating to "papa can you hear me" wearing a SoYoun's swan dress in purple, then another girl wearing Yuna's scheherezade dress in purple:laugh:

Let's not forget philanthropy. Yes, she obviously can afford it, but Yuna does have a 6-digit generous streak in her.
