Skaters on Team Japan

Videos from PIW Yokohama are up on dailymotion thanks to the uploader.
The links for Shoma, Mura, Kanako, Akiko and Shizuka are under Machida's video. She says she might upload more, but if she doesn't add anything in a few days time, this will be all she'll be uploading.
Sadly, they didn't show Koshiro's baseball program nor Keiji's "Spirited Away" program.

His tears came from watching Yuki Nishino's final Nationals performance. I believe the scene is from this documentary, starting around 27:54. Actually, her "story" is shown in two parts. First part starts at about 14:40.

And thank you so much for sharing the MAD. Loved it!

Thanks tsuyoboogie! Nationals 2015 was too hard for yuzu fan, and I missed the program.
I cried with Yuki. Only a few skaters can go to overseas competitions, have ice shows, get spotlight, etc.. Much more skaters end their career without such experience. Their efforts, their tears… I really wish the future before them are just bright.
further, Yuna.. She cried so much she got nervous and couldnt do well. But Tuduki sensei says like that she can be proud of herself to come to this comeptition. He still works as a coarch over 80. I personally expect Yuna. I'm sure she get a lesson from her failure.
Further, the supportive atmosphere of the skaters is pretty nice! The scene they watch the video screen together is very heartwarming. :)

There are similar MAD from the previous seasons. Just as touching and emotional as this one. :)

Thanks ioanna for giving several viedeos! I enjoyed them with the pieces. Especially, seeing Mills and Tatsuki, my heart still breaks… I didn’t know that he tried to get the second quad, but gave up. It’s sad… I still feel that Tatsuki would be here at competitions... :sad21:

Always, thank you for your work, mikaboo. Other than them, I wish Nobu’s video were there. The commentator says he still practices quad! I really love his skating, expression, and what’s called cat-foot-landing (I want to say “猫足着氷”)。

Yes Tatsuki was practicing 4Lz but he thought it wasn't good enough to risk putting it in competitions at that time. As far as Tatsuki still competing... a lot of people think he should be. Men's singles needs a skater like him.

I am sorry, i don´t know where ask this

Somebody knows the name/date of this tv show?

https://www.instagram.com/p/BEagw3zvX9Y/

A bit late, so not sure if you've already found your answer but this variety show is called 解決!ナイナイアンサー (Kaiketsu! Nai Nai Answer). The instagram clip is from a 2 hour special episode aired on 04.19.2016. In case you're interested, here is a couple DM links uploaded by マット・トロイ of the episode uploaded in two parts. Miki is featured toward the very end of part 1 (starting at about 54:54) and into part 2.

part 1
part 2

i find this Mad so touching.
"Hug&Tears 2015-16" of team Japan
Thank you all the skaters!
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x47ykpm
(BTW, around 3:47-, why did higuchi-sensei have tears? Which was the source?)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtQaVhtczr8
It’s part 4 of "Hug&Tears 2015-16" from the same creator. Again I cried especially with Yuki, Higuchi-sensei, and Takahiko.. Further, the powerful vocal truly fits for the skaters. They left so many memorable moments. She uses the same music for another video.

Around the last part, he laughed and talked with tears in his eyes.... His skating is noble and elegant. I miss him...

I don't know if this has been posted or discussed before but there is a strong rumor that Narumi Takahashi is now paired with Ryo Shibata and they are training at the Cricket Club for the Pyeongchang Olympics.
http://xxhuyuzero25.xsrv.jp/blog/2016/05/05/post-12416/

It all started with Miki Ando's tweet, she said "have a good flight and good practice" and it has become the newest hot topic. Nothing has been officially confirmed though, so it might be a mistake but a lot of people are talking about this subject.

Ryo Shibata is a former singles skater who retired in 2010. He is now 29 years old, 170 cm. He was known as "The Japanese Johnny Weir" because he used to have various hairstyles and similar costumes. He could do a gorgeous Biellmann spin as well as a layback spin. Some people here may already know him. There is a video of him skating to Phantom Of The Opera.

ETA: Another video taken after he retired. He was an incredibly graceful and flexible skater.

The biggest Japanese ice shows Fantasy on ice begins at the end of May. This is the commercial program of FaOI, which includes the past performances and histories.
The producer Makabe appears and explains about the skaters and artists. It is the recent years ice shows get popular in Japan.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4aighq_160515-faoi大特集_sport
he says, he want to keep an effort to make FaOI a big entertainment and it can attract audience not by skaters’ names but the content of the show itself.

I didn't know why the song sounded so familiar to me but I realized it was the soundtrack of a 2015 Japanese TV drama called Second Love.

I didn’t know the song by Misia though I felt that I was familiar with the voice :)

If the rumor can be true it’s great.
By the way I wowed at Ryo's costume on the second video actually he was ahead of Yuzuru about the costume.

Does anyone know about the broadcast schedule of FaOI? http://www.fantasy-on-ice.com/
I’m sure FaOI in Makuhari will be aired live on BS.

FaOI Broadcast schedule

Makuhari: June 5, 21:00-22:54
Kobe: June 18, 15:00-18:00
Nagano: July 9, 13:00-15:54
Channel: http://www.bs-asahi.co.jp/event/lineup/000058/

Sapporo: TBD
Channel: UHB

I think Koshiro's baseball program was shown at JSOI (when Kozuka's last skate was also shown) but it was on a pay channel so people are probably reluctant to upload it. I want to see it too! He skated to it in a local ice show in Okayama after PIW and I heard that's going to be shown in June so maybe someone kind in Okayama will upload it.

Thanks.:thank: FaOI Kobe seems live broadcasting!
What i want to see most is Sapporo since Shoma gets entry only there, but still not determined.:drama:

Does Team Japan have a new ice dance team now? Good luck to them! :hap10:

One of the artists who'll be at FaOI Sapporo had this info. on his blog so hopefully we'll be able to see it somehow.

◆テレビ放送:北海道文化放送にて放送予定

Are you going to any ice shows this year hamaguri? I heard that people are releasing FaOI Makuhari tickets now because Yuzuru won't be there but I can't stand the female singer. The latter half of the tour always has more interesting artists. This time the Yoshida Bros. will be there in Kobe and Nagano.

Yes, I’m going to go to one of FaOI although I haven’t taken any ticket.
About Makuhari… I feel the same. The choice of that singer wasn’t good. Go Hiromi at Makuhari two years ago was terrible. He had a problem with his throat and his voice was so irritating. Contrary, last year’s Okamoto and Sarah at Kanazawa were simply perfect. It was totally different. Further, last year’s Makuhari with Che'Nelle was also nice. So I’d like to go to Makuhari this year since Makuhari isn’t so far from Tokyo, but that the female singer is…(although i think she will sing well unlike Go):scowl:
Other than that, I plan to go to Nagano or Kobe (provably Nagano) since the musicians are wonderful as you say and of course the skaters are gorgeous.
I’ve seen they are releasing the Makuhari tickets at the page to exchange/buy/sell tickets for absence of yuzu… It’s lamentable. I’m going to Nagano/Kobe regardless of yuzu. But I can’t decide my schedule now. If yuzu gets entry of those latter shows, it will be unable to get a ticket…

Further, thanks for the info of Sapporo broadcast!:thank:. Sapporo is too expensive for the show and i give up, but i'm glad to capture it on local TV.

When I found out that Yuzuru won't be at Makuhari and Sapporo, I was glad that there'd be zero chance of him collaborating with the singer (sorry!). I don't know who the other male singer is so the only artist I can trust at Makuhari is Fukuma-san. (Btw, did you see the flowers he got?)
Hiromi Go was awful but he had surgery on his throat a couple of weeks before right? So it might have been because of that (although I wish he would have cancelled if he couldn't sing on note). Che'Nelle was a good singer but why does Makuhari always get the J-pop artists? I wanted to see Okamoto, Sarah, and the Yoshida Brothers too! :tantrum:
Anyway, I don't think I'll be going to FaOI Makuhari this year. If you see my lovely Wakaba, YunaA and Marin, please send them extra love for me.
