The JSF website has finally updated Satoko's profile. Good to see they remembered about her. Can you believe they had pictures of her from the 2013-2014 season up until yesterday? I can.

A couple of seasons ago she was 148 cm so she grew 2 cm.

Her goal for this season is to win her 3rd National title and to aim for the Worlds podium.

Miyahara Satoko & Hongo Rika: Friendly Girls’ Talk

Miyahara Satoko and Hongo Rika always get along well and are always laughing when together. With the season coming to a close, the two let down their hair and gave us a glimpse into their personalities with this girls’ talk.

We’re going to try and have a regular chat today with the two of you. But first, when did the two of you meet?
Hongo: We saw each other a lot since we were novices…
Miyahara: But we started talking when we were juniors?
Hongo: At first, I thought she was this quiet, polite girl, but then we roomed together at Junior Worlds. We hadn’t talked much before so I was worried it’d be awkward, but she was really funny, and we had a lot of fun.
Miyahara: She was so fun right from the get away so we got along right away (smiles).
Hongo: Ahaha!

That was great, I really feel like she's blossomed artistically over this past season and I can't wait to see her new programmes. She has a very fine sense of the music. (I guess she'll have to bring Stéphane to every competition now, in case she's asked to skate at the gala…)

Satoko's EX from DOI, with better camera angle! , i absolutely LOVEEEEEE it!!!! ahhhhh i love it when skaters has actual EX programs which can easily turn into competetive programs, this ex has everything, i watched it only once after FaOI hoping there would be another version with better camera work, i will watch this one over and over again but for now my favourite parts are the 2A perfectly timed with the music and part after 3S then fast-slow-fast-slow steps into layback job well done Stephane! :hap85:

I am very disappointed this will not be Satoko's new SP because I think it is an amazing program and she is SO GREAT doing it, like really really amazing interpretation, fluidity and sensuality. Waltz is nice but it is so classic and she already gets dinged in PCS, she needs more memorable "in your face" programs IMO

I know and I agree. I hope her FS will be more dynamic and dramatic. I also hope Lori Nichol won't insist on dressing her like a 12 year old like she's done so far for the programs she choreographed.

OMG! SO BEAUTIFUL! I love this. It can easily be a competitive program. My favorite part is this.
Satoko has Yuna's beautiful upper body movements and lightness and Caro's blade-to-ice skills.

apart from Yuna's upper body movements, Satoko also takes little moments like THIS and THIS just like Yuna , ahhhhh so many amazing moments in this program amount of maturity she gained since last summer is amazing, started with her Firedance and now this program, i am so excited to see her programs and dont want to give up hope just yet for Lori's SP

If only more people appreciated her qualities and put them in the same category with the likes of Kim and Kostner (*cough* Japanese media *cough*).
