I think her showing this early in the season, at a local comp such as this pre-test skates was about the same in both 2014 and 2015 - lots of doubles, unless my recollection fails me. Both those seasons however as we all know would go on to be wildly different. At this point, I don't think much can be made of her shape or ability or how the season will turn out. One sign might be that the 2A is placed last - this might be a bad sign that her jumps are not quite what they should be, or simply that they wish to ease her back into competition and build up her confidence again after last year's lacklustre season.
It may take a while, but I'm sure Liza will be back. Oh, and I don't consider her a "low average" skater - if I did, I would not be a fan.
