You're so lucky! We expect a full report from you! :)
Hello I am going to Autumn Classic in Pierrefonds, Montreal, just to see Yuzuru. I live in Montreal, just about 30 minutes by car or one hour by public transportation (bus and subway), so it is not too difficult for me. If Yuzu is not there, I still have a chance to see him at Skate Canada in Mississauga.
Hope to see him skate very soon.

Wow! Very nice!
There is quite a number of top skaters besides Yuzuru (like Tessa and Scott, etc) so I think even if he won't be there you will still have a good time :agree:

also there is team trophy next year right?, it's going to be a really long season :hopelessness:
Lol I forgot about this competition. This one is mandatory right? Unless you are injured or something? I think he managed to skip the 2012/2013 one if I am not wrong (because of injury? don't remember)
Mura and Takahashi is the one who went?

does that really say travel price 307.000 Yen? :roll9: I think I'm having a heart attack on behalf of someone else

6-day tour includes flight (Narita/Haneda - Montreal), accommodation, 4 breakfasts, transportation between the airport and hotel, and they will send you to the venue, then to the hotel for 3 days including the practice day. Sounds reasonable to me, subject that you go there with the guarantee of Yuzuru's attendance to AC.

Anyway, either of my wallet or work schedule would not allow me to gamble. Shame

Yes WTT is at the end of the season, in April. If he does senior B and WTT, he will end up doing 8 competitions next season (and with the possibility of doing 6 quads in each competition). I hope he skips as many unimportant competitions as possible. Senior B and WTT are the least important competitions next season.

that's too much and I don't see how he could skip WTT.

Tell us all about it when you go. :agree:

Omg that's awesome!!! Hope you have a great time :)

It seems there is a "possibility" of advance tickets this year...

From the event website,

"Tickets will be available at the door Sportsplexe Pierrefonds during the following hours below. For information about advance ticket sales, email [email protected]"

I suspect they will limit any advance sales, and reserve most tickets for sale at the door... and they might give the cold shoulder to bulk orders from eg. tour companies... but who knows? Anybody care to email them? :-D

What I got from email is reservations for tickets. I think that's probably what the tour groups got too.

I have faith that Yuzuru will show, but I'm also waiting a bit before buying my plane or train tickets. If I go & Yuzuru has to withdraw, I'll be very disappointed & anxious that his foot isn't healed, but there'll still be the excitement of seeing the return of Virtue & Moir, & seeing some other skaters I like, as well as a chance to visit the wonderful city of Montreal.

@Upnights
It is wonderful that you can come to Montreal to visit and to watch the competition. Me too I hope to see Yuzuru in Autumn Classic.
The venue is Sportsplexe international in Pierrefonds, near the Pierre-Trudeau International Airport.
There are many hotels in Pointe-Claire, near the airport, like Comfort Inn Montreal Airport, Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Pointe-Claire, Quality Suites Montreal Airport.
But not much interesting things to visit around the airport, or restaurants, boutiques.
But there are buses to go to downtown.
Hope that we will see Yuzuru skate his new programs.

Thanks, vadrouille! I made a cancellable reservation a while ago at a hotel near the airport. I'm probably going to arrive a day early, so I can spend some time downtown. I've been to Montreal several times & I like it a lot.

I feel very optimistic about this competition:agree:

An interesting thing: Alexei Krasnozhon, USA junior, went for a 4Lo in his FS. It was not landed and downgraded but he's detrrmined to get it right next competition so I'm assuming he must hacpve had a good practice ratio on it. It makes me wonder whether Yuzuru's first attempt will be sucsessful, new program, nerves and all. Yuzu probably wants to give it a test drive at AC before heading to big competitions, like he did last year. I think I will be bracing for a fall, heh.

Alexei was attempting it also last year.

Looking at history of Hanyu 4lo I am even expecting this can become his main quad, he seems to have great feeling with it

I don't expect him to fall on his 4Lo at first competition to be honest. I think he is ready to land it clean and fully rotated.;) He is not rushing to add a new quad to his menu, he's been cooking it for a very long time.

Indeed, he has put 4S very shortly after he started to land it and it took him some time to master it, but he was not rushing 4lo, and if he is practicing it with transitions indicates it's ready, and I expect it to be in both programs

I think he tried it at least three times last year (in both his JGP comp) and also at national: so far he never fully rotated it, I may be mistaken, but I think in those four comp (I know of) he did it up to now, he had three downgraded and one underotated.

That apart, I think Yuzu's 4Lo is competition ready, but first time to try it out in official competition gives me performance nerves anyway, so I won't be overly suprised should he fall on it.
And I'm quite sure he will try it in both programs (from the few infos we have had so far, it seems they are trying to lower as much as possible 4T repetitions, or this is my feeling on it anyway): so double chance to try it out at AC :)

Oh, I didn't realize that. I think UR tells more than a fall. Seerised ing as Yuzuru's seems fully rotated, I'm more optimistic as to the success. Still, I wouldn't be too surprised if he fell the first time around. On the other hand, AC is a low pressure competition so the nerves factor should be reduced. Eh, whatever will be, will be.
