Elena Ilinykh & Ruslan Zhiganshin

Disrespectful is to call people we like disrespectful just because they have a cold or sth.
And I didn't talk about skating time, I talked about preparation for Nebelhorn and skating time, and I think I was very clear.

I'm not gonna go on in a thread that is a fan thread but still calls people that did nothing wrong disrespectful.

And where do I mention that catching cold is disrespectful. In my comment I am saying that the best reason will be to have a flu or something and that I dont believe that they have simply chosen to not show their dance if they are ready. Because yes if they just don't want to show the dance to the fans that have bought tickets and have traveled and are there just because of them is disrespectful at least in my opinion. But I don't think that is the case. So don't twist my words.

And yes I am worried about them and I want to know they are OK.

Like others, I don't see how this is disrespectful. I am confident that Ruslena do appreciate their fans support but at the end of the day they don't skate for us, and they shouldn't. The most important thing is their health, both physical and mental, and that they themselves are comfortable with what they are doing. I'm as disappointed as the next person that they won't be there (in fact I'd bet I'm considerably more disappointed than most people) but it's not really any of my business at the end of the day whether they participate here and why they do or don't.

How could we ever call them disrespectful? They even gave us a sneak peak at their dance. They are not the only ones sick. So are S/B and S/K. If anything this is a blessing in disguise. I honestly think they should keep their material under wraps till competition. If it works for everyone else in the world, why not them LOL. hehehe.....You guys are trippin, peace and out!!

Well, let`s see if we will get also a vid for their FD

The beginning of their SD looks very good, they looked sharp and the exit feature of their lift was on the music. I`m also glad that their coaching team are right now focusing on improving GOE instead of creating complicated lifts. IMO, it`s exactly what they need right now.

But they have already traveled and skated so if they are in shape I don't see a reason they don't show it to their fans how this will influence their skating time. Anyway I am worried and wonna know if they are ok.

Other than Russian couples no dance team shows their program to public just after the test skates. It is just russian system. I like as a fan but other countries doesn't do this and it don't hurt their couples. Unless there was talk about how bad they are or how good other couples are I don't think we need to be worried. I actually find russian specialist very quiet this time which is strange. No hype for their favorites yet.

OH no.
I really hope he recovers fast and the injury is not serious.

Is this a new injury or an old one calls back?
"что у партнера обострилась травма левого колена"

What matters is he rest and recover and us as fans should remember they are human beings and not robots. I think Stolbova or Klimov also have an ankle injury at this time. S/K have also chosen to rest as they want to go to Finlandia in October.

It's an old one that got worse. I'd say this is worse than some new minor problem. Sounds like something that could require surgery eventually, just like with Soloviev.

I hope this is not the case and they just decided to be more cautious or it is just temporary discomfort or maybe too much overload and just need some rest.

At the moment I really don't care about placement, programs, GPs or anything I just wish them health.

What we have seen from the SD is terrific so I am really optimistic about the programs and this season. I am sure they have done loads of work and I hope after some rest Ruslan will be in good health. Really hope this is the reason for the knee discomfort.

I am praying soon we receive some good news about their health condition.

From the official group.
It's a small inflammation, it's just part of the training process, nothing serious but there is no need to risk it furthermore.

If it was really bad, they wouldn't have been skating in the closed sessions all week. Best to rest and be fully prepared to wow us at their first event!

Considering the same journalist on her blog searches for the mythical 8 kgs on a tiny skater I'd take what she wrote with a grain of salt.

OMG, people were telling some nonsense this week! I`m glad when it`s over and done with these test skates.

Only the part about an old problem is from her, and she got it from them/the team. The rest are only my musings. I truly hope that I am wrong.

And I did not know that the "8 kilos" was from Vaitsekhovskaya. I thought it was from some Russian forum.

On the vk group, they make it sound like it's not really much at all. Just doing what any elite athlete has to do to look after their body and take care of the little niggles they all carry.
