Nah, I'm happy with him speaking Japanese, as long as he continues to speak through his skating to me personally... :)

I think that's different, the "speaking something else than japanese" relates to my curiosity of how much his voice can change between languages :D. That is related to Yuzuru Hanyu the person, not Yuzuru Hanyu the skater  i don't know if i am expressing myself clearly haha.
Also, it's completely unrealistic, seeing how much he struggles with english i don't think he would be interested in learning something else :P and i am totally fine with that

I think it's pretty common, it happens to me and many friends I know when we switch languages. Don't exactly know why though, maybe it's a natural reflection of having to think in another language...

I'm wondering now if this happens to me...

Almost everyone I know does it, except for my mom  I speak English (my 2nd language) in a much lower pitch than I speak Spanish.
But Yuzu's voice pitch change from Japanese to English is really something! If you heard both without seeing who is talking, I'm not sure one could guess it's the same person  But I like it, it's like seeing two very important parts of his personality through something as simple as that. You have him pouring his heart and thoughts in Japanese, and then you have him just being a very sweet kid when he speaks English

I think it also depends on how similar the languages are. When i speak in japanese my pitch gets higher because of the sounds of the language. I've tried to speak japanese with my normal voice and it's impossible to get the right pitch and sounds with it. When i tried to study finnish my voice didn't change at all.

Yes! That's why it would be really interesting to hear him speak in other languages. I like the way he expresses himself in japanese, and when he speaks english he always sounds like he is having so much fun  But his voice is completely different

My voice changes for sure, with it being highest when I speak french, my third and weakest language. In english it is much deeper. For me, I think confidence plays a factor. Yet, my sister is not like that... instead she speaks in a low voice with regular people and a higher voice when speaking to anyone in authority, no matter what language. Quite interesting, actually, how people's voices in general change in situations now that I think of it.

Yuzuru is very eloquent in Japanese. His word choice is very precise. He always seems to be trying to find the word which feels truest to himself and most appropriate to the occasion at the same time. When he is speaking in English he is trying really hard to accomplish it with fewer vocabulary, struggling with grammar and pronunciation. I imagine it’s as painful as skating in somebody else’s skating boots with dull blades and having to skate his difficult programs. I would love to listen to him in any language, in any pitch, as long as he is able to say what he wants to say the most.

If i am not mistaken, i saw in twitter that Nobunari Oda said on TV that with his costume for the FS, Yuzu looked like a "forest fairy". He does have the grace of a fairy
Edit: A piece of fanart related to the moment hahaha

Oda is really kind. I remember in one of the TV show he was in, he gently reminded (or scold lol, gently) the other presenter when they talked about Rika Kihira 3A and brought up Mao. He said each skater is their own person and it is not nice to compare and pit skaters against each other, something like that more or less. I was always fond of him, Oda is a great skater with very pleasant personality. He has nothing but high praise to Yuzuru too all the time and he is a positive commentator, like Ted Barton

Well, runrun8383 on twitter has already created shortly after AIC a serie of fan art about chibi "forest fairy" Yuzu and it's both adorable and beautiful.
She even made a small clip compilation of it:

Aww yes! HopuLega-chan! It's so cute♥ i want my own Pocket HopuLega-chan. The part about the stars was so cute.
Which reminds me of the song Snow Magic Fantasy by Sekai no Owari, they talk about a "snow fairy" but i always sing "ice fairy/ice spirit" haha (and there's a line where they touch the subject of said snow fairy not looking like its real age... Reminds me of someone :D)

No. I will never be able to see him as a 20+ yo, he acts like a kid :P
i want his flexibility

It's not just his flexibility, look how stable he is! I am just going to lift my leg like that way up, basically make a split and then mess around. No biggie. Sweet giggle.

Actually i am pretty stable when i do yoga, i just can't go that high :P
And after watching the Nishikawa pics and with the risk of sounding creepy i kinda wanna see him sleeping, if he says he sleeps with one eye open in a creepy way. There has to be something he does that doesn't look effortless and good for him...

I'm coming here to make a formal statement that I've officially sold myself to Prince short program after watching that fabulous practice again and again even while being a skeptical human being. And yes, this means I've acquired a higher biological tolerance to cringe which also means an approval of the infamous phone sign. I believe I'm reaching the ardous path of my figure skating enlightment. now if that costume is changed, which is very unlikely to happen, I would find the firefly at the end of the tunnel, otherwise until the present moment I'll survive through The Vest.

Sincerely yours, not-a-Prince-or-a-"fun"-programs fan.
