Have more faith in Yuzuru. This is the boy who went through CoC 2014, won another national title before a surgery, skated while his foot was injured badly. He has never given up. And he will overcome even more.

I have complete faith in him :D i was a bit worried for some reason but now... I'm sure he will give us a great performance :D is just that this dream was terrible and i still remember looking at him with crutches and everything... Terrible i tell you  ! I know he can accomplish great things even when he is not in top shape, and that in turn gives me strength to move forward too when i'm having bad days :)

I have better feeling about SP than LP he seems more used to it. I understand that it will take a bit more time for him to catch up as he spent a lot of time off ice, programs need more polish and he needs a loot of stamina for LP. What concerns me the most recently is 4S3T combo, he hasn't landed it yet in competition. He missed the one in Boston and missed both at SCAC...

Welp, now that you said it... But since he can land it in practices quite consistently, hope he manages to shake those 4S3T nerves off by SC. For me, I am actually still nervous about 4Lo than 4S3T, since in practice his success with 4S3T seems better than his 4Lo. And then there is also dear-old-friend 4T.
Anyway I am keeping my expectation in check for SC. He historically never does stellar and well in his first GP and out of 12 GP that he attended, he only won 3, (but won 3 out of 5 GPF,) and all 3 of them was his 2nd GP assignment. Just... hope he rotates all of his jumps because pops hurt score so bad (but at the same time falls hurt your body more too). I just hope for a decent skate, since it is still relatively early.

Haven't posted for a long time, but faithfully have kept up with all the messages in this thread :), reading it everyday on my lunch break. I'm leaving for Toronto in about 17 hours---birthday present trip from my husband! He asked me what I wanted and I said a trip to Skate Canada---surprisingly he said okay, let's go! I've lost count of how many of us are going---more than 10? Should not be going since I have a lot of work to do, but important things first  Will try to finish work on the 7 hour plane ride! I'll probably be nervous watching---usually close my eyes until Yuzu finishes skating when it's on TV---but when you're actually there, you have no choice but to watch :hpull:

So excited for you Ladysci! I read the messages daily, but am not the most consistent poster. But I love following the latest on Yuzu and can't wait to see his SP and LP at SC. Unfortunately work has kept me from SC but I will be glued to this site. Thank you to all those that upload videos and post your thoughts. It makes me feel like I am part of SC although I won't physically be there. Enjoy and scream loud for me when Yuzu skates:yahoo:

Same here. I plan to take the laptop to the arena, and work in between sessions, which seems impossible though:bed:

I'll look for someone intently using their laptop:agree: Do they allow laptops and tablets? My husband needs his Kindle in case he gets saturated with skating ;)

I was looking at Misha's instagram right now and i couldn't help but to think that i am SO glad Yuzu doesn't have any kind of social media. It wouldn't be good for my productivity  Unlike other people i admire, for some reason i like to be kept in the dark about many things about Yuzu and focus on his skating. While i would like to know more about Hanyu Yuzuru the person, i don't know... I don't think i would like it as much as i could imagine :scratch2: i'd rather think of him as just a brilliant skater and keep the idea that he is a great person according to what he lets us see about him

Hi, I'm going to Skate Canada (just back from SA, & truly on my knees thankful) and wonder if GS has talked about a meet up? Please excuse me, I haven't been able to follow this thread for a bunch of pages now. Not trying to set anything up, but would hate to miss meeting any of you all who--unbeknownst to you--are my support, therapy, and teaching group! I would love to say hello, I know now (SA was my first competition) how pressed for time, transportation, and food it all is. If anyone spots a pale blonde, short-haired, skinny old lady in black with a striped scarf thats sort of Hope & Legacy Yuzu-colors--Please say hi! Staying at the Marriott.

I agree that it's good that he doesn't have social media and I like that he's less accessible/more mysterious/idol-esque this way, but not really because I think I wouldn't like him as a person as much. His actions are quite consistent with what he shows us about his personality and I think not having a social media account kinda falls in line with his personality as well. Can't really see him tweeting or posting instagram photos for likes and stuff . I follow the eSports scene as well and I've seen so many of the pro gamers who are also around the same age get so stressed out and depressed when they get bombarded by hate on social media after a bad performance that it negatively affects their future performances even more. It's not easy to avoid reading the things people say about you when it's all condensed right there. I think Gracie, for example, should have a social media blackout or something. I could see him starting a blog like Nobu in the future though.

He might have social media, but just known to friends and family and under a different name. He is not home much of the year, so he very well might keep in touch that way. I know i would do it that way if i was crazy famous and wanted privacy. We will never know.

Japanese people use Line when they want to communicate. So I am not surprised if he has Line to talk with his friends and family.
Btw from the last time I remember, he never shows up with a phone, just an Ipod lol

Oh I'm sure he uses social apps to communicate privately. I meant social media as in a personal medium to communicate publicly and directly to fans and so on.

Well, we know he has a youtube account at least
I think if he wants to connect with friends he doesn't necessarily need a social media account and can just use Line or other messenger. I know some people are not so fond of socmed, including myself.

Of course he has, why else would he want a smartphone :P They are wonderful to keep in touch with people you can't physically see very much, and probably his accounts are extremely protected.

I like him not having public accounts not because i wouldn't like him as a person, i follow someone i admire very much and i can tell you that the old saying that goes "never meet your idols" isn't always true, but because oddly, i am not interested in his private life at all. I don't wanna know what he eats, what places he likes, UNLESS he posted practice videos then i would stalk that account as if my life depended on it :P
I guess the Hanyu Yuzuru i like the most is Hanyu Yuzuru the skater, he seems to be a very down to earth person and all that but somehow impossible to reach, even if he had public accounts. And i can't believe this but i am perfectly fine with that and i prefer he keeps it that way even after becoming professional
