Sotskova finished fourth in Europeans with two falls in the free skate.

Wonder if that means they'll consider sending Lena to Worlds? Don't think Sotskova would be terrible, but they have to be thinking about 2013 when they only ended up with two Olympic spots for Sochi.

I think it depends how Elena will skate at Universiade. But she get a chance it's no doubt.

I was thinking about this too. Personally, I would prefer to see Lena stay home and take the time to work on her jumps, polish, and get really good programs for the Olympic year, but then again, I worry if Sotskova doesn't do well at Worlds, then only 2 Oly spots which means even less likely Elena would get to go...

That is just one point. The other is Pogo. It was pure luck, that she didnt fell into her old form. Nearly everything on her skating was unsure and I had the feeling she was just saving it to the end. Absolutly not convincing.

possible. because Maria herself is not sure that will go to the World Championship.

I'm fairly confident in Zhenya and Anna being able to get placements adding up to 13 or less. Anna can be as low as 12th if Zhenya wins, so yes anything can happen on the ice, but to me it's pretty much guaranteed they'll have the 3 spots. No comment on who they should send, but let's say it's Masha. Even if the two Canadian girls, three Japanese and three Americans all finished ahead of her, that would have her 12th, which would be good enough with Zhenya winning. And that scenario still has another Russian above her, meaning her score wouldn't even be counted. And let's say Zhenya didn't win, but came second instead. It's pretty hard to imagine that one of the other two wouldn't be able to manage top 11. Again not saying who should get the third spot, but I am seriously not worried about keeping three spots.
 
Anyone know when Lena's first competition at Universiade is? Also where online can I see Starting Orders/Results?

Yes, well done! :yes: It looks like she's practicing her SP...? If so, I guess she's doing 3F instead of 3Lo... I hope that means she's trying to increase the base value of her SP (and not that she's having problems with her 3Lo). :agree:

Well, I won't be awake when Lena skates. She has a pretty good starting order (finally!), so hopefully she can skate clean and get a new personal best. :agree: GOOO LENA!!! :hap10: :hap10:
 
I was wondering what Inna G was going to do too. She is going to be one tired lady, but glad she worked out a way to be there.
