The video is probably somewhere on YouTube. I'm too tired to look for it, sorry.

His SP video quality is no good. I will download the full mens comp and rip from there. It will be less choppy.

He landed a clean 4T in his SP btw. Congratulations to him.

Still in the process of cutting the video. But I'll get it done within an hour, at least I hope so.

If you noticed, Sasha was/is coached by Prokofieva at this competition. Mishin is in Switzerland this week with Liza.

I take that back, Mishin is not in Switzerland, at least not anymore. He's in Japan at the World Team Trophy. Mind-boggling.

It's time for this again.

As usual I will update along the way in the coming months.

Sasha got 152.24 for his free skate. 2 deductions. A total score of 241.42. He's first for now, with one skater left to skate - or be scored (I don't know.)

Happy birthday, Sasha! Hoping that next season can see the continuation of the improvements made at the end of this one.

This morning I was kind of sleepy when I wrote that birthday post. It was early morning for me. So I'll write something a bit longer...

Dear Sasha,

You are 18 today! It's a special year, you can finally get that driving license you have been practicing for for the past 2 years. I suppose you have plans for today with your friends and such. Enjoy your time, have fun... but not too much fun. ;)

Your 17th year was a very hard time for you, at least career wise. So many ups and downs and you could say, more downs than ups. But you worked hard and fought on. Your fighting spirit as always, is so remarkable.

You may not know we exist but you do have loyal fans on Goldenskate. And we've enjoyed watching you develop as a skater through the years. :ghug:

My hopes for you are high and remain high. Your talent and skating qualities never cease to amaze me. :)

I look forward to seeing what the future holds for you. And I look forward to one day hopefully seeing you skate in person again, however far away that day may be.

Happy Birthday Sasha, Sanya, Alex or whatever you prefer your fans to call you. Cheers to a better season for you, the lovely skater that you are. :hb:
