So Gracie was scheduled to perform in the short at the Onyx Figure Skating Challenge in Rochester, MI (where Patrick Chan performed), but she didn't show up. Not an official scratch, but she didn't show up to her ice call apparently.

I know her birthday was yesterday, but I'm hoping everything's all right with her. It wasn't an important competition per se, but it would have been nice to see her get out on summer competition ice after the bad year she had.

any idea where you can find results for the onyx? Hannah miller competed and i'd like to know how she did.
 
Knock on wood, I am super excited about Mirai and her 3A this season! I sincerely hope she can land it cleanly at the big events. I'm totally rooting for her to do well. :cheer:
 
A preliminary entry list is out for Nepela and Gracie is listed.

I'm still holding out hope that I see Gracie's program at a summer comp. But I'm happy to see Gracie earlier than October. She really needs these Challengers to build up confident and gain WR points.
 
The point for Nagasu isn't just to land the 3A but to skate the rest of her programs clean...

I think Mirai showed in the final round of Skate Detroit that she's capable of that. She's looking hungry and prepared this season and that 3A at Champs Camp was wonderful! Hopefully she can bring this to the Grand Prix and high pressure events.

The reason why I'm so excited about Mirai is because I really haven't been this excited (before she skates) about her in a very long time, and I think it's another ladies skater who can really contribute to providing us with a good competition both domestically and internationally. I think the Ladies in the past two Olympics seriously skated very well by bringing their A-game and giving us fans an amazing competition, and I would love for a three-peat. With Med being the standard who almost always hits and makes her programs harder; the Japanese skaters like Satoko, Mihara, Wakaba, and now Marin among others; the Russian women like Zagitova, Pogo, Radionova, Tuk; the two Canadian reigning World silver and bronze medalists (two of my personal faves); and the American women looking more fired up than ever, I'm getting way too excited about the ladies competition. Plus who knows how Elisabet, the Korean skaters, Caro, and other surprises skate.
 
Just discovered Ting Cui from JGP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QKazv0wW2Q. I am surprised that I've never seen her before, considering she is in a very good shape. She trikes me as a very confident skater, and looks mature for her age. She is thin but looks a powerful skater. Does she have all the triples? Any information on how she may progress in the next few years?

I've been a fan of Ting for a while since she is from my old stomping grounds. She's a beautiful skater!
 
Really pleased to see Amber Glenn and Bradie Tennell assigned to Lombardia. I especially hope that Amber has a great showing. She has a special something. She just needs to break out!

getting in the podium is already a good indication, there is Evgenia and elena, also Rika hongo, Dabin choi and maybe Alena and caroline zhang that can be dark horse
