I think it's the elements-part that's like the third program of some of the novice categories? For example this protocol.

I'm not 100% on how it works and those very rarely get streamed, but they seem to first take turns in performing a solo jump and a combo, 2 attempts for both and they can keep the one that scored better. Then they also take turns performing a step sequence and a spin.

They don't really seem to get streamed though. I remember some of older step sequences by Anna Shcherbakova and the only jump section I've seen was the December 8 competition I believe, where I can only remember Berestovskaya having a horrible fall on a Lutz combo.

I mean, these are really exciting competitions! Girl knows that all she needs to do it's only stsq and spin. In this way she'll be faster and confident, her stsq will be more enjoyble to watch and her skating skills will be more visible. And jumps' competition, really cool to watch all these jumping marathons. I guess, we'll see these competitions again only a few times this season, here (January, has to be soon, but still no information) and here. Hope there will be Samodelkina, Berestovskaya and Akatieva. I want to watch their stsq without jumps and just jumps.

Why so many invalidated elements?
 
Can we update the OP to group skaters by year of eligibility?
Like: JGP 2018 / JW 2019 / GP 2020 / WC 2021 ?

For a 2011, she's not bad. Jumps aren't amazing, artistry and performing are okay(but exist). The skating itself is very nice and she at least attempts some very difficult things. Not really a top top talent but... Worth noting, I guess. In skating skills alone she could be a top talent, though. Especially the axel entry is very impressive even though it doesn't seem perfectly clean. But it rotates in the wrong way and has to reverse momentum. I don't think we ever see that at the senior level, even? (It would need to be done a bit faster afterwards though).

You have to wonder when in 2011 she was born, however. There's quite a difference between early and late birthday and affects how impressive her skating is quite a bit.

That would be a good idea. For example, after the "(after 1st July)" you could also have the set of eligibility years just for quick information. But I do like the way they are currently grouped by half-years.

Didn't get what does it mean... I already split them up, considering their eligibility. What do I need to do else? Calculate when they're eligible to skate at senior Euros and Worlds?

Yeah, it's a nice program. She's good at skating, too. Unfortunately, the artistry isn't quite there(But not terrible - Better than many seniors and plenty of middling juniors)... But she's still pretty nice to watch. Might have some potential in the future - Looking forward to seeing how her first JGP season goes, assuming she actually gets some slots there. She has the potential to be quite enjoyable to watch.

Like instead of doing late 2003 and early 2004, which are eligible for JGP at the same time, make them one list: JGP eligible 2017

I think... half-year splits are still better than lumping them together simply because a full year's such a big range. And also, in the junior categories the skaters are often categorized by birth year. "born 2011, born 2010, born 2009" can be the different groups for the same level.

She has quite a bit of UR issues, it seems. But how have I never paid attention to her? Yes, she isn't very expressive but considering she's a June 2010 birthday... Just how crazy is that skating? And that axel entry!

This Flip entry by Kostornaia is considered one of the more difficult entries they even do.

Now, compare it to this axel entry by Barakhtina - I'd even say it's more difficult as it goes straight into the axel off the counter! And into a counter exit.

The skating's just so impressive considering her age. I actually don't think I've ever seen anyone doing something like this. Even comparing to Sofia Dzepka when she was 7 years old and had very impressive skating skills - She wasn't even doing counter turns and there was no sign of a very difficult choctaw like the one on this axel entry.
 
That was quite a weekend! The highlight being Shcherbakova's new SP, which is just fantastic. Really looking forward to seeing how it evolves. And while it's not quite a part of the weekend, Kostyleva having another skate like that! Where will she be next year? Following in Dzepka's(Please return soon...) footsteps, perhaps?

And what's more, tomorrow Ksenia Melkumova is the very first skater for the sports 2 category that should start at 9:30 Moscow time. That means that I should actually be able to catch it before I need to go get my day started! Here's to hoping that the recording will be working properly from the beginning, it's always a bit of a scare with the first skaters... But there's an entire sports 1 category before her, luckily.
