2018 Russian Junior Nationals Ladies SP

Not really sure. Kostornaia being second despite a fall is puzzling, as is her TES being 38.62 in spite of that as well. That would essentially mean that if she hadn't fallen she would have had like 42 TES or something ridiculous like that.

That's crazy to think about :reye: I thought for sure at least Tarakanova and Trusova would be ahead of her from the rest of Eteri's group, if not Panenkova and Scherbakova too, but ah, how the tables turn. I'm all for the judges laying high scores on Kostornaia, but this is definitely a little strange.

I thought Tarakanova will get 40 in TES since she usually get good GOE on all element... Jump and spins and step. Considering Kostornaia very high TES that would be 41/42 if she's clean...

Well she got 41.42 in JGPF, and that is international judging. Scale it to home judging, 42 TES sounds about right.

IMO yes. I'd have had her 2nd, if not 1st tbh.

Someone mentioned a stumble in Tarakanova's step sequence. I didn't catch it, but could she have lost a level there compared to Alena? Because that might explain how close their TES is. And Alena did get higher PCS internationally, and did really well at Sr. Nats, so that's not surprising.

She got 38.51+33.18 in her SP in the Nationals, which was similar to today, and she definitely wasn't the favourite there. I really would like to see her in Junior Worlds instead of Konstantinova.

I think RusFed didnt forget Gubanova achievement (silver at JGPF, 2nd highest FP score internationally among russian junior all time) so she will scored well if get to go to JWC. She also placed 6th in senior nats with not much point behind 4th and 5th so maybe thats why they slightly push her?

Only if Konstatinova, the "most overscored" russian skater in its history doesn't get huge advantage I predict a 76-78 SP score.

her last spin travelled alot at the end but how come its such a huge drop of her scores ? 0 GOEs ?

Ugh, Konstantinova. I don't mean to wax dramatic about Stasya - there's nothing wrong with her per se - but, and I'm totally prepared to get a bit of hate for this from somewhere, I really don't think she should be here.
